Re: Do you buy Christmas presents Oh, yeah, we always got our Cats something; each one always had his or her own stocking. They would get some Pounce or a toy or something. Also, they got to play with the bows and wrapping paper. __________________ Golden Porthos Winner(x3) & and Best Loser! Also winner of: Bronze Porthos! Bonus Image(x2)! Combo(x2)! SF&F Caption This! Do you buy Christmas presents for your pets and if yes - what sort of things do you buy them? Any suggestions on what I can get my cats? Last year I spent over $100 on a cat tower as a combined Xmas/10th birthday present for Miss Chicken and she barely uses it. __________________ "I learned that when everything feels hopeless, if you wait a little, sometimes in the walls that seemed to offer no way out, doors you never imagined will...

What's your range of age in dating? How much older or younger are you comfortable with?
People can be mature or immature beyond their years. I've known people in their early twenties to be quite mature just as I've known some in their thirties and forties who really needed to grow up.
I would like to distinguish between maturity and being young-at-heart. Being young-at-heart can be ...

Re: Your worst injuries
hmm.. most likely getting run over by a tractor mower going in reverse and severing my right arm. Then dying in the ambulance on the way to the hospital (obviously I was revived). Finally having the severed arm further amputated just below the shoulder to stop infection from spreading.
All in all, that day ...

Christmas Decorations
For many people, Thanksgiving is more or less the time to put up the Christmas decorations at home, or at least the time to start thinking about it.
So are you putting them up tomorrow? How far do you go? Do you just do the tree and stockings? Do you go all out with new table cloths, garland , etc.?

I don't really remember.. I think it was some sort of canned food. Don't know what I'll be having tonight, but I'm sure it'll be awesome. Maybe brisket or an olive dish or maybe bean dish. I don't know what they are serving.

Re: Good Trips, Bad Trips
Well, luckily I haven't had too many instances where pain meds were necessary, but I did have some Vicodin when I had some teeth issues a couple of years ago. Since I hadn't had it before I cut it up into thirds and tried only one part of it...and very quickly I felt extremely nauseous and started puking. ...

Re: One thing ST looks to have actually got right about the future...
I t old my son that I wouldn't be surprised if, within the next 10 years, poster advertising on truck trailers (I'm talking semi trucks) is replaced with flat panel LCDs or the like. Advertisers pay big money for that space since it's a rolling billboard, and with...

There's a huge "if you can't afford health care, you should die quickly and not burden the rest of us" mentality in this country. Well, a bit less than half of Americans seem to feel that way, at least.

Persons are, of course, free to act as they choose. I wouldn't feel comfortable living with someone before marriage, unless we were living as roommates, not as a couple. (We could very well be a couple at the time, but would need to live at least somewhat apart within our shared house or apartment - like we would with someone we weren't dating.)

Have you ever been on a trial jury?
The true great equalizer. A demonstration of democracy in action. A pain in the ass (especially when it sneaks up on you just when you least expect it).
I could give you all the usual blurb about how jury duty is "everyone's civic duty for the equality of liberty and justice and freedom and ...

I probably fail on #1 and #2, being an atheist who thinks any idea of an afterlife is bullshit;
I definitely fail #3 and #4 regularly
and sometimes #5 although I usually try not to;
I haven't killed anyone and I'm militantly pacifist so I think pass #6 with flying colours;
never have been married and never even cheated on any of my girlfriends, so no problem with #7;
#8 - oh well, I ...
