The idea of this game is that each character has a number of points (Each starts with 10), and posters distract points from characters they didn't like, and add points to characters they like. When a character has 0 or less points left, they are removed from the game, and this goes on until only one is left, who will be our collective favourite Trek character.

Do we know they never had warp, period, or just that their scientists did not invent it? Not all species have the PD--they could've bought it off of someone...or maybe they knew how but were not interested.

I wasn't sure whether to post this in the DS9 subforum or here, but I decided to post it here because it concerns the politics of Federation and Star Trek in general.
In DS9, we found out that one of the Federation ships used in the Dominion War was called USS Cortez . If there is any doubt if this is really a reference to the Spanish conquistador Hernan Cortes, there is also another ship...

Were the Borg always supposed to look like how they did in First Contact? Or in the storyline of the Star Trek universe did the Borg decide to change their outer appearance from the BOBW episode into what we saw in First Contact?
