atomiclightbulb: Thank you. An interesting article to see in the NYT. Regarding your statements - quote: (1) "I bolded the most important part. We cannot rely on members of Congress by themselves to reign in spending. They will always vote to spend more because their individual interest is staying in office. I don't believe it matters who you vote in. Someone who gets a job is going to generally do whatever it takes to keep that...

Ok...let me recap and comment on what you just posted (and I will assume that these are accurate transcriptions of IPCC items by Lord Monckton via your citation): 1. “None of the (scientific) studies cited above has shown clear evidence that we can attribute the observed (climate) changes to the specific cause of increases in greenhouse gases”. Source, IPCC, 1995 . So,...

God Bless Nancy Pelosi, Henry Reed, and President Obama for providing the funds to fix some of the local highways here. My state is facing a huge deficit and would not otherwise be able to repair these roads. Only 34 billion awarded? No wonder unemployment keeps going up.

Why is there such a mess? Because each legislator acts in the best interests of his or her constituents, and not necessarily in the best interest of the nation as a whole. For example, a congressman may push for new helicopters for the President because the helicopters are manufactured in his district. The president may not need those helicopters, and they may be a waste of ...

Unfortunately, this is too good to be true. The fact that this information comes from an "investment" newsletter is an automatic red flag. I used to get stuff like this in the mail all the time -- it's little more than a scam designed to pump up the stock price of some penny stock on unregulated OTC stock exchanges. It basically amounts to securities fraud. U. S. Oil ...

The United States has massive problems that built up over decades. I never expected Obama to repair everything in the first six months of his presidency. If anything, the article speaks to the general impatience of the public. The 24/7, ultra-capitalist, magic-pill, hyper-materialist, ADHD, instant gratification society is not used to waiting.
