I'm not symptomatic of any diseases - in good health. But since I've never been formally tested for STDs, I'd like to be screened for them as a courtesy to my current/future partners. I'll be looking to make the appointment soon - which ones should I ask for?

Hi we have been involved with other people for only a few months, and have done a lot of reading. We are slowly coming to believe that one way or another, exposure to HPV is inevitable as it is so common. Whether it manifests as warts or cervical problems or whatever, we are not sure, but do you think that most swingers are exposed to HPV?

We've seen a few threads lately of people feeling threatened with the idea of getting an STD if they get involved in swinging. I want to emphasize that this is a perfectly legitimate concern and fear . None of what I'm about to say should be interpreted to detract from that. It often amazes me how little people understand about microorganisms. I'm far from being an expert, but I'm boggled...

I’ve posted this poll for people who state in their profile that they are d/d free and prefer that their playmates be also. I wonder what they are trying to tell me when they say that. Are they saying that they do safe sex only? Are they saying they only play with couples that have recently been tested? Not sure if this should be here or under adult entertaining. We went to a party earlier this year and they had prepackaged condoms with lube singles in a little envelope, I believe they were from WET. I have Goggled myself silly, and not in a good way, but still cant sind this or comprable product where the condom and lube singles are together. ithink it was called date night or overnight pack....

One thing I learned very well in graduate school is that numbers can be made to say just about anything, depending on how you phrase the questions. Any "connection" between vasectomies and PPA could very well be random chance. Just a heads up to any one that does not know much about HSV. We recently got Gentital Herpes HSV2 and both of us got it at about the same time or one from teh other with in a week. I'm guessing few use STD test as part of their screening since noone has replied. If a couple was in your situation, I'd say try to find a couple that you can build a relationship and swing exclusively. Can be hard to do, but also can be rewarding to have that kind of relantionship. dayhiker
