I'm okay with "same room" or "separate room" depending on the circumstances -- if I'm with a new partner, I prefer to stay in the same room (just to check on her and make sure all is well). If we've been around the block a few times together and know the other couple we're swapping with well enough ... then it's free reign to go where-ever you please. (But I still like to check in...

Lilo, I think that most of us play the "who are the swingers in the room" game when we are at vanilla venues. An amusing game in which we have actually discovered other swingers by paying attention to our Playdar. Not every swinger in your area is using the internet, quite often they play with limited playmates that they met one way or the other in the past and might not even realize that there many of us out there. For us, geography is such a small factor that it doesn't enter the
conversation unless the other couple has a preference. We do insist that
doors be left unlocked and we prefer that they be left slightly ajar. If we
can't trust folks enough to be on the other side of a wall, we won't be in
bed with them in the first place.
