yes i am gutted as well finding out about this..
Now realistically.. Is there a way to get round it? Apart from getting someone to host it from their FTP and I have to drag it out??
Any input is appreciated as I am now living in a "No life" internet with No download,
no music, no movie. no absolutely nothing and they call that the future to be...

Between 16:00 and 00:00, TalkTalk restrict their service. They call it "managing traffic" but what they mean is blocking online games, P2P downloads or anything that isn't
web browsing or e-mail.
They do this so the web browsing speed stays good during "peak" hours allegedly. What they fail to realise is that a large number of broadband users use their connection for things other than e-mail...

talktalk blocking the ports on WOW bit these ports where opened up again after a number of customer complaints. I am aware of other customers that play WOW without this disconnection problem. As above can you please let us know if this is happening during only WOW or during normal every day surfing. Is the a time trend to this and do you have any other applications ...

Are you on the talktalk network. Many ISPs will not allow use of the
smtp server if you are not on their network.
Check your username /password for the account
Make sure you have not turned on SSL (ie use port 25 not 465)

Hey guys,
Recently just signed upto talktalk since leaving aol. Since connecting with talktalk i have found my speeds to be 0.54mb download and 0.24 upload whereas with aol the download speed was around 2.5mb and upload of 0.8mb. Why is this and is there anything i can do?

If the line is "crackly" when you are connected to the test socket then it is a line fault, report it. Otherwise you need to sort out your internal wiring (your problem).
