This chapter has some nice moments. I particularly like Indy\'s initial disinterest in Mutt. Instead of asking why he\'s looking for him, he just tells him to look out for the end of the platform. The conversation in the diner is good too. More of Indy not taking the local myths too seriously. It\'s still about the archeology for him. He\'s not even terribly concerned with whoever Mutt\'s mother is. The motorcycle...

This is the part i was kind of dreading in cinemas. Shia. However, I really don\'t think he was bad in Indiana Jones, and after his jungle antics, he doesn\'t especially take center stage much. So, I do enjoy these scenes. I like the diner scene too, when Indy explains about Akator and the skulls power - only then to reveal at the end he has no idea of what the power is, because it is just a story. I thought the scene where the bike...

I love the weary authority in Indy\'s voice ( "You\'re runnin\' out of platform, kid." ), and the fact that he doesn\'t think of himself as an "old man" . The diner conversation is one of my favorite scenes in the entire film. The timing between the two...

Plus, if you look out the church door, the exterior has a spring air to it. (The October date doesn\'t even match the rest of the content in the book but I thought it was worth mentioning.)

Thanks for the info (yeah, looks like a spring wedding to me) and the nice compliment, too! I\'ll try to be around more often... I can\'t believe I\'ll have been here at the Raven 9 years in 2009!

In the opening scenes just as the Russian guy who ties his shoelace stands up after the tommy gunning of the gate guards, why is there a fart noise?

Skull is up for favorite movie against Dark Knight and Iron Man. It's for a bunch against those same movies, so it'll be fun to give Indy some love. though Batman/Joker will take the on screen match up i think. I think Dark Knight is the better film and i love it. But my allegiance is always with Indy. Edit: i ended up voting for Indy/Harrison when i could. haha. time to stuff the ballots ...

Now that the DVD is out, I thought I\'d kick off what were my favorite topics at the TF.N forums for the prequel DVDs. Every Wednesday another chapter of the Crystal Skull DVD will be discussed. Discussion focuses only on the DVD chapter of that thread. Feel free to talk about anything from film techniques, to acting, to SFX. Feel free to post screengrabs from that chapter as well to make your ...

In my mind I would say yes because there was a lot of exposition and in good 1950s sci-fi B-movies there is more exposition than action like The Thing or Them! Also Mutt felt like something out of juevenile deliquent flick but with a hint of Steve McQueen's character in The Blob. Overall I think KOTCS did succeed in my eyes as a b movie what do you think?

My access to The Raven was revoked for a few weeks as my comments regarding KOTCS were construed as being from a "troll". In my absense I have seen the film several times on Blu Ray and can now confirm that I enjoyed the film immensley. Even the much doubted 3 waterfall scene wasn\'t gabage but just a right rollicking bit of harmless fun. I hope in Indy 5, they explode 2 atomic bombs on him ...
