The major thing that distracts me from these images are the background(s).. The wrinkles could have been ironed out, and it almost looks dirty. I think a nice black backdrop would have looked incredible with the gold & teal sparkles.. Cool shots though!

I really like the expressions you captured on these shots, and the colors are nice. The crooked street in the third one is a little distracting and all of them are tad bit too dark for me.

It wouldn't be the first time the "man" raided a school or place of higher learning, remember they still burn books I would tell your friend to go digital, and consider the loss a learning experience.

Great pic of a cute kid. I think the window shaped reflection in her eyes looks a bit odd. Very nice otherwise.

I think it's all about context.... manner of posing, I think it's ridiculous that the processor wouldn't do the negs over a little pubic hair. I think a lot of North Americans are too uptight about nudity... get any photo mag from Europe (there's a couple i read from France), and it usually has nude shots in it... and many 'with bush'. But they are creative shot, artful, with interesting ...

The "one way" sign showing he is heading away from the help wanted sign, while not intentional it really adds to the photo.

The wall on the camera-right is a bit distracting. The image is soft. See if you can boost the sharpness a bit on the eyes and maybe jewelry. In portraits, unless you're going for specific effect, eyes should be the focus (sharpest) point. IF you can't sharpen it then try blurring...

Interesting...
Lighting seems flat. If you have two sources, its better then one
Their heads, in all images is turned passed past 2/3rd view thus if you look at the nose - you get a Pinocchio effect. Have them turn the heads towards you just a LITTLE bit
