I believe Sproles got hurt late in the game. But we surely needed him early. Seriously. The whole entire game, I kept thinking to myself...where the fudge is he? Have you guys noticed the team have not used the screen pass using sproles enough this season? I believe I've only counted about 3-4 times. The successful short quick screen pass was against Denver for a 60+ TD. Seriously...Norv ...

Time to adjust our expectations? Five games in and we are super soft on defense. Soft in a way that may or may not be correctable via scheme changes and enthusiasm. Defense wins championships they say, and i agree. And given the questionable health of key players on offense, I'd say we're in for a tough season. I went into this season expecting deep playoff run. Now i believe that may be a year ...

Every game his excuse is "We got to get better." Im tired of hearing the same excuse over and over again. We know that already. Can you man up as a head coach and start taking some blame that you coaches arent doing your jobs????

My little rant. The play calling so far has been horrible. We arent they calling more deep patterns? Are these the receivers we really need for our offense? I think we need to open it up a bit more to give LT a better chance. No one is seriously worrying about the WR's anymore. Our offense is going back to the same ole boring predictable play calling. The only play yesterday I havent seen our ...

Is it just me or is are defense playing passive, like the first 3 games of last year. Now I know that the defense has lost Merriman and tackling has been piss poor at best this season, but it seems to me that Ted Cottrell is continually dropping our defense back in coverage. This has allowed QB's like Pennington to just drop back and take 8 yards here and 12 yards there, with very ...

We've all had well over 24 hours to complain and let our voices be heard. I did my share. There are problems, some significant ones, with this team. I'm not going to argue with you. But at this point, it is what it is. Now, it's up to the team and the coaches to make the necessary adjustments and improvements. They know how crummy they looked in Miami. Trust me, the fans aren't telling ...

Will it be a linebacker? I thought it'd be Tribble until we signed Ian Scott and got rid of him. Derek Smith - hasn't looked great in his short stay as a charger. He was signed to a 2 year deal but with the emergence of Dobbins (sort of?? i guess,he's looked good) he's nothing but an over the hill back up Kassim Osgood - Seen him make a play today on ST but he really doesn't do anything ...

If he ever wants a Super Bowl, he will never do it with a San Diego franchise. This team should be ashamed, they are an embarrassment, and we are embarrassed for them.

I don't mind that really. It sure makes for boring TV. I understand the containment, that's to say..if the QB has more time, your guy may break past you for a long gain or a TD. However..it sure makes for predictable boring TV watching our DB's. Very boring.

Yes I know we won, but today just proved to me that maybe it is not the players who are holding us back. Maybe is it the coaching. Look at our first two games. We had some horrible offense play calling in the first game against Carolina in the first half which seemed to carry on today in the first half. Running on 2nd and 17 and 2nd and 19 when we are down in the 3rd quarter? Seriously we are so...

I want everyone to watch the video on the Chargers website homepage and tell me at the end that the announcer guy does not say L.A. Chargers. Please watch video and get back to this thread. Could this be a foreshadowing of things to come for the Chargers?

This is a question from Kevin Acee's Mailbag. Now before you attackk Acee I like the guy I belive he writes some good stuff and knows what hes talking about. However do you really think the chargers would be that dumb considering what the defense is like without 56. Lets say hypothetically speaking this is the year (I dont like saying it but lets just say) we win it all would it be true as if we...

This isn’t really a knock on Norv, it’s just that Norv doesn’t have the same run-first mindset that Marty had. Marty was a run-first guy for every team he coached because he knew how to make it work. He had good schemes and good coaches to teach those schemes. Norv’s claim to fame is his ability to develop quarterbacks.
