P&T or Nipper double? Advice...
Published (2009-12-04 23:27:00)
I haven't used a nipper, but I had a Phil & Teds and loved it. Far from being stuffed underneath, you can actually see the child in that bottom seat better than the one in the front, as they can look up and see you very easily. My children all used to fight over who got to go in the cool seat underneath, and they just get a lower view of things, not necessarily worse. At least in a busy town, they wouldn't have loads of...

I have had all the parts of the fabrics in the washing machine before. To get the rod out of the hood, you do have to make a small slit. The only part which didnt take all that well to the wash was the main seat unit, the foam backing bunched up a bit. Its not ideal and prob wouldnt get the marks off but at least you would know that you are putting your babies on a clean pushchair

I have the britax vigour 4+ which i love, but wouldn't say it's terribly compact. I am always banging into people and things with the rear wheels as they are quite bulky. But other than that I absolutely love it xxx

Hi Lorraine,
We have the highchair that I have put in the link below. It is a little more than you wanted to spend but we have been really happy with it. We started using it when our daughter was 5months. It also comes with a detachable teething ring which has been very useful. It folds up nicely against the kitchen cabinets and due to the design of the feet it is very stable both up and down...

I know maclaren have had bad press recently but I loved the maclaren Volo - at the point I got it the lightest buggy available, still a good size, and with the shoulder strap I could wear it like a large brolly if need be. However it does depend where you're going, I wouldn't recommend it if you were going somewhere with lots of rocky walks.

How about a booster seat for her at the dinner table? Jamie had one that you just attached to the chair for meals and could fold it away afterwards?

Hi Hayley,
We used one for my eldest and it was okay. It's just a bit fiddly getting them in and out we found - trying to get your hands around them. Also, washing their hair isn't easy as they're sat up. She had colic but I'm not sure if it really made a difference tbh.
I've used it once with my second but she didn't seem to like it so I haven't bothered since. She loves the normal baby...

You could always buy a pair and sew either elastic wool or ribbon.

I know of 2 women who originally bought the P&T, and have since bought Nipper 360s! They both much prefer the Nipper, but have the P&T for occasions when an inline double is necessary (eg, for going round shops and narrows streets).

I have both of these, although tend to buy them second hand from ebay.
Both have their points although possibly the Little people seemed slightly better when she was younger and now the happy land seems to be her first choice, dd has just turned 3. Although that could just be because happyland is downstairs at the moment!
Also found that little people tend to be a bit cheaper/get more for ...

Sorry Naomi i don't know of anything, i've given up looking now - like you i use furniture etc to cover the plugs, i've also got an ice cream tub top covering the buttons on my washer so my LO can't change the cycle when it's on!
How about covering the calpol box with some pretty wallpaper? Looks better but LO still won't be interested x

Just done a quick Google search and came up with this (it's worth a try but if all else fails just use a buggy liner until you decide what to do) Mould and mildew can be a real headache for items which are not in regular use and need to be placed in storage for any period of time. If you live in a damp area or climate, it is a good idea to check on any stored items regularly, as it is best...

The miracle swaddle blanket was the best one I ever found. I swaddled both my boys until they started rolling over so by that stage they were quite big and tough and they still couldn't unswaddle themselves in this one. The velcro ones I found a complete waste of money. Miricle Blanket

Clare,
don't know just how tall your LO is, but I recently bought a Buggy Snuggle in Black for my DS. He's 18 months but is 3 foot tall already. Buggy snuggle fits him fine and has room for about a foot's growth! Cost £35 from Kiddicare. Would that do?
