Thanks for replying Karen, I have just come on here for an update also..... LO woke up at half 11 last night in tears and with a temperature of 39. He was in absolute agony so we took him straight to the hospital to get checked over. They said it seemed like he has a urine infection as with all the pain he has, not weeing enough, nasty smelling wet nappies and high temp seemed to indicate that. We couldn't get a sample of wee from him so...

Since your little one is refusing a game helps, you could use a syringe full of juice or something she likes.. if you dilute medicines (in juice etc) you don't know if your child gets any medicine and it's so diluted it's not likely to do much good anyway ..and can also put the child off taking fluid/food when ill. Lots of games and rewards is the answer make it fun..give it to teddy..take it yourself, All makes both your lives...

Hello Kate My colleague Jeanette has asked me to respond to ypur post. I hope by now that you have got an appointment with your GP. It does sound like your DS may have a little problem with his penis which needs investigated by your Gp - go to another one if the previous one might put you off - your LO should not have pain in that area in the absence of a nappy rash. You mentioned that he was a little swollen down there so could possibly be...

I'm not after compensation, just want the person(s) responsilbe to either be disciplined or to lose their job over this incident. I want to take legal action for personal reassurance that this'll never happen again & have the backing of the parent goveners at the school.

Hi, I am the op that started the thread. I gave my ds the mmr after all the worry he was fine. Then 4 months after the mmr he got measles and he was quite ill so I was so glad that I gave him his mmr because if the measles he had was mild because of him having the mmr I would not like to see what full blown measles was like. I know it's a worry, I worried myself sick. I am so glad now I know ...

Hi Helen, welcome to netmums, I'm dashing out but wanted to say dd2 started nursery in September and following a nasty cough in the summer hasn't had more than a couple of days where she hasn't been streaming. I think partly it is the nursery, but we are beginning to think about getting her adenoids and tonsils checked out. Nic x

As long as he isn't losing weight and we can avoid the food, there's not much else they can do. Just been given some epi pens for him. He is really good bless him, we tell him certain foods make him poorly which he has accepted very well but is starting to question it a ...

Morning Ann Marie, Hope you had a good night. Sounds like you have done everything i would have done. Unfortunatly kids at this age seem to pick up everything. When my LO started nursery he had a permantly runny nose for months. If you are worried tho go and see you H/V or practice nurse, i find it is usually easier to get in see them than the GP's X

Honestly...my daughter suffered very severely with constant recurrant tonsilitis (she did eventually have them whipped out at 3and a half thank god!)but she would get very run down after each infection and like your daughter just never seemed to fully recover or get her energy back. I really wouldnt worry too much. My mum used to make sure we brushed twice a day and I had fillings in my milk teeth. She used to get told off by the dental nurse for not brushing my teeth and my mum had to protest that she did! I know she did, I can well remember! Anyway, when my step daughter was 6, she had to go to hospital and have EIGHT OUT, where she isnt made to brush her teeth at home...

Hi Becky, My ds still has cradle cap and he's now 24 months old. Dentinox shampoo has never worked. I was advised to use olive oil and it has helped but it's still there but to a smaller degree. I am aware of many other netmums who successfully use olive oil as there was a similar thread a few months ago. Some have left olive or baby oil in thier lo's hair overnight then washed it out - the ...
