As far as I'm concerned all politicians are power hungry con artists, shysters, and comedians and to be honest I don't trust any of them any further than I can throw them. I'm suspicious of all of them and don't trust a one of them. I have an across the board distrust of politicians. All of them regardless of race, color, creed, religion, or political affiliation. I'm also a big believer in "if anything can...

O makes up his mind, says he'll finish the job......that scares me because it could mean just about anything. WASHINGTON — Signaling an imminent decision on Afghanistan troop levels, President Barack Obama said Tuesday he intends to "finish the job" and destroy terrorist networks in the region. The president said he would announce his decision on how many additional soldiers to deploy to Afghanistan after Thanksgiving.

TMF learns an important lesson
Published (2009-11-24 21:15:00)
I think it is OK now, I visited PA today, and it appears that the new leftists talking point is that we are now members of the KKK. Chit! I thought I erased that stuff off my MySpace page. Does anyone know is lighter fluid OK, or being troglodytes as well do we have to rub two sticks together to start the fires? On page 32 of my 'How to' manual it says that the recommended technique is to use charcoal briquet starter fluid. Plus,...

On page 32 of my 'How to' manual it says that the recommended technique is to use charcoal briquet starter fluid. Plus, that's something that every Good 'Ol Boy has handy. Gasoline is also listed as acceptable, but says ya gotta step back fast to keep yourself from going around in "blackface". ))))))))))))))))) Thanks, the gas wouldn't work for me, we usually toast marshmellows before we string...

New AARP ad
Published (2009-11-24 21:36:00)
Here's Robert Samuelson in yesterday's WP: "AARP's cynicism is breathtaking. On one hand, it sponsors a high-minded campaign called "Divided We Fail" and runs sentimental TV ads featuring children pleading for a better tomorrow. "Join us in championing your future and the future of every generation," ended one ad. Meanwhile, AARP lobbyists scramble to shift their members' costs...

I'm thankful for capitalism and the prosperity it has brought us. Yeah, me too. I'm also thankful for the legislation that provides safety and environmental regulation, and that channels the skewed rewards that the owners of capital enjoy at the expense of labour back into the infrastructure that makes our "capitalist" society that much more broadly prosperous. MapCap, you're a one note ...

Men who drink regularly, even in small quantities, are more than 30% less likely to suffer from heart disease, it found. But those who drink the most cut their risk by the most. Those classed as high consumers of alcohol, between 30 and 90 grams per day, had 54% less chance of getting the disease, while those deemed to have a very high intake, of more than 90 grams or at least eight ...

It's pretty obvious that Mr. Balzano doesn't know the first thing about diplomacy or public relations. If his goal was to turn even more public sentiment against public employees and general -- and overpaid and over-benefited public union labor in particular -- I suspect he picked the right battle. You know that thread the other day with the LTTE about not bashing public workers? Mr. ...
