Question about searching craigslist

Shelbyboy My apology, seems I was not looking at the entire screen. So, then, I have no clue as to how you do what you want to do. Seems there ought to be a way to search ALL the listings..... Bob

Dear Rick - flattery will get you anywhere - I am just another PC user on occasion. But I will respond. The value of my comments is most likely what you paid - not much. I use a program similar to what you downloaded. Mine cost about $20 some 10 or 12 years ago and I keep getting free updates. I like it. I understand it. I trust it. And because I am an ole Curmudgeon, I ain't gonna change. My program is called Ace Utilities. It has a lot...

Question about searching craigslist
Published (2009-11-30 11:22:00)
There is only one way that I am aware of. Check out www.crazedlist.org A co-worked used this site to prove that someone was trying to scam him on the purchase of a high dollar item. He called him on it and the guy disappeared. xSSMBB

location of recycle bin
Published (2009-11-30 15:26:00)
Hi Kurt, No, it's not that I want to bypass the Recycle Bin. No way. I wouldn't do that. What I was saying is I'd like to empty one bin and not the other. Why? Well, if my external HDD is getting full, I might want to empty just that bin and not my C drive bin, because maybe I'm not ready to empty the C drive one. I like to have a fair amount of time go by before emptying them in case I need to restore a file. No big deal...

802.11n standard finally ratified
Published (2009-11-30 14:54:00)
So what does it mean that Microsoft has, since IE 7, been working hard to adopt the HTML standards they previously ignored? The funny thing about IE winning the browser war, at least to me, is that I'm not sure how much economic benefit it got them. It's not like anyone ever paid for an IE browser. Obviously some of their content sites instantly benefit from the default experiences, but beyond that I don't see the massive EV...

Question about searching craigslist
Published (2009-11-30 13:42:00)
You know, by default craigslist tells you to only deal with people locally... so you are less likely to be the victim of a scam. That might be the reason they don't include a global/regional searches. Kurt

about:blank -- WHAT THE HECK?
Published (2009-11-26 12:23:00)
Sorry I never came back and posted. I did scrub through your HiJackThis output the other day, but nothing jumped out at me. When I had the about:blank, there were a few entries that jumped out. It took several tries, reboots, and some registry updates, but I don't remember any of the specifics...been a couple of years. ---------------------- Yes, thanks for looking for me. This was just the oddest thing. All of a sudden one day whenever...

Reader, A 549 deal on a laptop is a pretty decent one. 320GB HDD is one of the standards now for laptops. The Asterisk is likely that you don't actually get 320. More likely you'll get 300GB... this is normal btw. This laptop will be able to handle all of your music and then some. If I remember correctly, Win7 has the photo screen saver. There are some excellent customizations that you ...

Hi, We had this same exact problem with a Lite-On CD drive in a computer at SeniorNet. The problem was that the name of the drive stored in the drive got scrambled. On boot, the OS polls the CD to get it's name and load the appropriate driver. Since the name is scrambled, the OS can't find the driver and the drive acts like it is dead. Our solution was to replace the drive. Can't ...

The name of the recycle bin is RECYCLER. Yes, the file name is all caps. You can't see it because the OS is not showing system and " hidden" files. You can change this behavior. Note: these instructions are for XP, 'cause I don't run Vista. But the instructions are virtually identical for either OS. Choose Folder options in Control Panel (classic view). Click the View tab. Scroll down ...

I can't help but think there's something wrong with a standards body that doesn't ratify a standard until after it's already been universally adopted. First off your definition of adopted most likely does not match the committee's. Indeed there have been lots of "n" or more correctly "draft n" products for years. The systems/approaches used by Linksys or Belkin or Apple all will work ...

Traceable by who? If you think you can 'hide' by sending via gmail instead of by say Comcast if they are your ISP, no. If you are talking about spoofing your address as spammers do, probably harder at gmail. If you are trying to hide from the CIA, NSA or your ISP not a chance in hell. All of this fits under the If you can put a man on the moon, for a little time and money you can do just ...

Whats your price range? Now is a good time to be looking. One thing, ATI just got top video card honors. This card is $600, but its the fastest single card you can get. http://www. tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-5970 ,2474.html... It supports 3 monitors. Can you boot from a Windows disk? I have never done what I am about to suggest, but I stored it away in my memory banks. BIOS can be "forced" to it's default state if power is removed. In the case of desktops, this means removing the coin battery. Now the part I don't know with certainty - The article I read said notebooks get power from the battery. So the suggestion was remove the...

I doubt that you'll have issues getting the 2 to see each other. Win7 will see whatever shares you have on the XP box. During my Beta Testing of Win7, it worked perfectly. xSSMBB
