Why Liberal Policies Fail
Published (2009-11-26 13:41:00)
Whether it increases or decreases revenue is immaterial! Tax cuts let me keep more of my own money! Let the government do with less! It's not their money!!! I love this argument. It's so wonderfully simplistic. So's the couner-argument: If the government didn't spend money on stuff -- say roads for example -- you probably wouldn't have a job. If you don't mind saying, what's your line of work?

Why Liberal Policies Fail
Published (2009-11-26 08:42:00)
jtallenmd: I have been thinking about this for some time and I have come to the conclusion that liberal policies fail because when they develop their policies they fail to take into account that humans change their behavior based on the policies in effect. I think this is correct, although I guess I would generalize to say that it is because they interfere with liberty and self-determination that lead to the outcomes people really want,...

Liberal rush to judgment
Published (2009-11-27 01:00:00)
I brought this up on PA. One of the usual suspects actually suggested that the suicide angle is a cover-up, presumably by those right-wing wacko Kentucky law enforcement agencies. I kid you not. They'd better hope that those "right-wing wacko" Joint Chiefs of Staff, CIA operatives, and FBI officers hear them say such things, or they'll march in with their jack boots and haul them off to Gitmo.

Global Warming? Nah. Global Fraud.
Published (2009-11-27 09:40:00)
Now, the New Zealanders are having data called into question: http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/jamesdelingpole/100017977/... What did we find? First, the station histories are unremarkable. There are no reasons for any large corrections. But we were astonished to find that strong adjustments have indeed been made. About half the adjustments actually created a warming trend where none existed; the other half greatly exaggerated existing...

Fun With Numbers
Published (2009-11-24 14:42:00)
Obama's latest polling numbers are just jaw-dropping in terms of his support among independents. If unemployment is still up and they force Obamacare through, it's going to be downright ugly for the dems next year. ________________ Though it is obvious that employment is a problem, that is NOT what is driving Obama's numbers. Unless you include the lying about employment, the blatantly partisan slush fund that is the Stimulus,...

Why Liberal Policies Fail

"Historical records consistently show that increases in tax rates lead to decreases in revenues while decreases in revenues lead to increases in tax rates." Only if you listen to sources that cherry pick their information. If you listen to intellectually honest sources, you will find it is a mixed bag depending upon all sorts of economic factors. Tax increases can lead to increased revenue, they call all so lead to decreased...

CVSUSN: There have been several posts around the TMF boards stating the "Climategate" release of documents does nothing to call into question Global Warming. The people who would say such things (and I have not personally seen any of those posts) can only be described as ignorant morons. Those scientists are frauds. I'm not using that term loosely, they have committed scientific fraud. ...

As a former CAian watching my current state (OR) try to turn into another CA through the coddling of public employee unions and the mental illness of GW, I agree with everything in this post. However, I have heard it said that the only reason TX is doing better is because of its oil revenue, of which CA has much less. I'd like to know if that's really a factor or just something liberals like...

CV, Good post. What has been promoted as hard science is actually speculative science, and it's notorious spokesman is one of the biggest phonies around. Just 3 days before the important election of 2000 global cable tv shove a microphone into Bush 43's face to explain his drunk 24 years prior. Long before and far away on page 13 of your local Tennessee Gazette we discover the campaign ...

the number of units sold of one of Ann Coulter's books of which all seven are bestsellers, outflanks what mythologically could be considered a combination of hurriedly scripted books by a nemesis. Problem is, the left makes up all these stories about how someone or some entity lied, but more often than not have trouble with the debunking part. Inconvenient facts do get in the way. Gee ...

This is not about a trial for KSM. It is a trial of the USA. Obama, with Holden as the fall guy, has 'ordered' a civilian trial so the ACLU can put the US on trial. Abu Grail, Gitmo......days of testimony about water boarding and other techniques. 40 experts called to testify on ...

telegraph, The psalm goes on to say: "May his children be orphans, and his wife a widow." ... Scholars contend that the entire chapter is a plea for God to smite an evil man." But that quote's from Psalm 109:9, not part of 109:8. So saying "Pray for Obama: Psalm 109:8" is clearly a joke with the implication being Obama followers won't know it says "Let his days be few; may another ...

"Diversity" is just a euphemism or excuse for liberal racial discrimination. Liberals say "We're not discriminating - we're promoting diversity." Recently, there were picketers outside the hospital I work complaining that there aren't enough African-American physicians on staff. How disgusting!! It made my blood boil. These imbeciles want the hospital to grant privileges or recruit ...

They don't give a rip. They will still pass it, the will of the people be damned. When you don't implement the plan until years after, the American people forget and they won't experience the actual loss of liberty. Remember the costs come first (higher taxes on the rich) while the implementation comes after the presidential elections. They know the American people are fickle and won't ...
