I fried some anchovies, anchovy paste and 10 cloves of garlic in 2 sticks of butter and half a cup of olive oil, then added a cup of whipping cream and cut up a loaf of Vienna Bread and some celery sticks to dip in it. It's an Italian dipping sauce that I learned from an Italian friend, but I don't recall how to spell it. People tend to either like it or hate it. I was very surprised that most of my grand nieces and nephews went...

Savannah, GA, as a major seaport, has a LOT of very interesting I hope to visit Savannah someday. I've only heard wonderful things about it. So, thank you for the links too! I would like to visit the Roosevelt homes in New York There's also a Vanderbilt home near Springwood. In fact, I think the Hudson River Valley has wonderful places to see -- lots of historic homes, art museums, beautiful scenery. I think it has magic and romance...

Left over prime rib. I won one of these things at an auction @ work to benefit a local homeless children's center: http://www.popeilfamilystore.com/5tu.html Cooked a prime rib yesterday. I'll need some practice with the new kitchen toy as the meat was too rare for my tastes. ez3

It's Monday night what's for supper? We're having homemade beef vegetable soup, cole slaw, and cornbread ( leftovers from last night). Usually I cook enough on Sunday to have leftovers on Monday. This is going to be a hectic week for us, sending everyone a Redbird today. Grace and Peace Miz Wiley

We're having homemade beef vegetable soup Beef??? I'm having homemade turkey vegetable soup!!! I had about a quart of it last night (OleLab got about a half pint of it!) Good stuff! I've got 2 more quarts in the fridge. Got some more leftovers to eat - turkey, gravy, dressing, and green beans for one more meal! After that, I'm good to go with turkey and mayo sandwiches for a few days! OleDoc

Very cool. I would like to make a trip with him sometime but with two small kids it is difficult to get a way. Dad has been out to Terlingua with him but nothing recently.

What a wild ride this has been with all the paperwork, inspections, more paperwork, and cleaning trips. We even spent our anniversary cleaning our new house and had subs & sodas for lunch. How romantic, eh? Oh wait, I did buy her a card. ;-) We were supposed to close this past Tuesday morning, but I was informed early Monday morning that closing was moved to the morning of Monday the 30th because of some...wait for it...paperwork. Did...

Good for you! There's nothing like the joy of home ownership. Of course there are a few minor things you will have to contend with as a homeowner. Major appliance breakdown, painting, replacing the roof after a hail storm, digging up your sewer line etc. Did I mention digging up your sewer line? You no longer have a reason or excuse not to build the outdoor BBQ/smoker complex of your dreams. That's what I'm going to do if I...

I smoked a turkey on Thursday for my mother, sister, and nieces. My kids couldn't make it until Friday. So smoked another on Friday for my children and grandchildren. We're going to have turkey soup from now until God knows when. (Stuck a bunch of containers into the freezer this afternoon.) Them bones have a nice smokey flavor. Made a fresh loaf of crusty bread to go with it. Heidi picked off the crust from the leftovers. Barry
