Man this post really has me fired up, yes I understand it is my responsibility to know the law, but I have a feeling more people thought you could buy zone 3 private doe tags 2 a day until sold out. I have bought tags from meijer, dunhams and gas station, and they all said the same thing. I was going to get a couple more tags because I know I can fill em this weekend to donate the meat, but now I cant. Hope to see mr big! Sorry for rant, this...

Didn't mean to fire anyone up! I just believe the regs are vague at best. The nice folks at our local hardware tried to deny me a license for no reason. The questions arises between private and public lands. The only statement I could find in the guide was the one I posted. And I agree that you would think it would be simple enough to put a block into the system when an individual hits the limit. On a side note, I wish they would have put...

I honestly thought that the 5 tag limit were for all antlerless tags in general.

Damn on a stream!

I have never trapped anything but mice. But i would think someone that knows how to trap could make a nice catch. Have not been up there in a month so maybe someone has already taken care of the problem. If thats the case, mother nature will do her thing and eventually wash the dam downstream.

Although the provision purports to apply to all vertebrates other than humans, the Michigan Legislature has provided that it does not apply to certain economic or widely accepted activities. The provision does not apply to the lawful killing of livestock or customary animal husbandry of livestock, or lawful fishing, hunting, trapping, wildlife control, pest or rodent control , and animal research. ยง 750.50b(7)-(8) . Jurisdiction Question
Published (2009-12-12 15:20:00)
I just spoke with the older cop as he was taking a smoke break along side the wall. He told me that it is perfectly legal to wade there. Enter from the beach before "dusk" and when you leave use the beach and walk directly from the water to out of the beach. I told him that he should quit smoking. It's easy to do, I've done it DOZENS of times.

I am not a CO, just a regular plain old city PO. Where I work it's the same way. If we have 4 or 5 violations, we write them for the biggest, and then warn on the rest of them. When they go to court, they have the option of pleading guilty to the one charge. If they plead not guilty, we will ammend the tickets to include ALL violations. If they go to trial, they gamble on all the charges....

beaver dams are common on trout streams. Up here, our fish biologists contract the prisoners to do beaver dam removal. I know in the old days, CO's with dynamite would take care of the problem but that isn't the case anymore. Contact your local DNR office and get in touch with a fish biologist. They might be able to help.

5 is the limit for TOTAL antlerless licenses....public/private...5 is the limit.
If you have combo tags left you can use them as antlerless with archery equipment.

You can not post land that you do not own.
Please contact a CO @ district office for the location in question. Contact info in sticky above under "Locating a CO".

If I leave a car in front of your house for a month without driving it can you legally take it. I wouldn't think so.
Long story short you can't just take someones property if its sitting somewhere. If it has registration #'s on it see if you can locate the owner and see if he wants to sell it. If no #'s are on it leave it alone.
Maybe thats how my treestands keep coming up missing...
