Why did I winterize my boat?
Published (2009-11-28 15:46:00)
Ya the boat I had before my little Lowe was an inboard. And had a Tracker before. There sure is a lot more to them than an outboard. I used to like the big glass boat for the ride and being able to get out of the weather but I like to fish little crappie lakes and such and it limited me. It has been an outstanding November. Might get out in December.......

Yeah I have to agree that they can be a pain and when the fish are hitting as hard as they have been you generally don't need them. But I have become a believer that even if you catch one more fish because you are using them they are worth it.

new boat-need some advice

From what everyone has stated so far I think I will go with the Fortrek 80# or so. It may be a little overkill for the size of my boat but as stated already, I can always dial down if I need to.

Let us know. Suspect colder weather and a little wind make good combination.

Vertical jigging with 5/8 jigs with minnows ,drift just at power plant in trenton channel right down the west side and keep your jig off bottom no more than 2 inchs but dont hit bottom more than every ten jigs cuz you will snag up..take lots of jigs cuz of snags ,but the wallys are there and has to be vertical or you hit them,,thats what most do or try hand lining ,,
