I was told by some fellow fisherman, that they did not think it was worth the risk, now that the board is gone. Mark

#6 or #8 Diaichi. I wrap the hook around the knot on my bags. FYI - last week when I was out there was a guy using #14 trebles and he was 0-7, I was 4 for 6 with several gut hooks. He just plain could not hook up - even with a major pole bender. No need to use small hooks at this time - maybe spring when they get fussy.

I use Eagle Claw Laser Sharp #8 off set hook when spawn fishing. Seem to not lose too many fish (knock on wood)

Numberguy, For fishing the Muskegon pier and wall I'd say get the longest handle you can get!! The rocks next to the pier can get wet and slippery. If you can avoid getting close to the water and have the ability to net the fish before they get into the rocks, then longer is better. That being said, I use the same net for the pier and wall that I use for netting salmon in the boat during ...

It's possible, but not fun. 4x4 beam was knocked out with the last storm. Even with it up it's a long walk down the beach, and rather slippery this time of year when it gets under 32. I do it alot, but i'm really not normal

We've been hitting down here in Indiana on the reefs and breakwalls for about two weeks. Ive never seen it this good this early. Fish are shallow so they go back OK but we can still keep two down here.
