Well deserved? She outlived him to her delight Past cruelty gave her the right She had been treated as a slave and still he paid beyond the grave. She still received her monthly cheque. Though he was killed in a car wreck She had a claim on his estate. It seemed to her kindly fate Made him forget she would be paid Because the blame was firmly laid By the court that heard the case His death his guilt could not erase. So she continues to...
