I always recommend the Springfield, if only for the warranty. The loaded is a great pistol, and I'll get one for my CCW piece as soon as I save enough pennies.

Welcome! Your spring plug rubs on steel everytime you depess it, plus it's easy to rub the barrel bushing across it too if your not extra careful. The edge that the bushing sits on is almost bound to show wear. It is a part that is prone to to this. I would not worry too much about this, it's normal. After it gets looking too bad you can buy another one, they are not that much. ...

Wolff makes a number of recoil springs for the 4.25" Commander. If the 1/4" length actually makes a difference with the Champion, the spring could always be trimmed from the top. Here's an 11 pounder on Midway: http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduc...ctNumber=535 586

No problem - check to see if the current reverse plug has a small protruding flange on the front - is so you just need a bushing. If not then no prob. getting it back - need a bushing and plug for the FLGR.

I had to send in my Loaded in last year when it would not chamber JHPs. The Frame had some damage done by someone between the factory to me so the Custom Shop fitted a new NM Frame to my slide and installed the internals. The Service was great and it was done in a very timely fashion. What sort of issue do you have with your SA?
