There are always mags on Gunbroker. Do a search for 'Detonics magazine'. if they do not show up under combat master...As for the grips those pop up from time to time..there are some nice wood and buffalo horn ones ( iwas thinking of buying those) on ebay at: http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_tr...-All-Categories

Thanks - stripped, cleaned & ready for some range time this weekend. Checked victoryarms and will order springs but no luck on mags. Any idea about MetalForm/Checkmate part #'s. Also looking for Pachmayr wrap-around grip.

Yes, since 1984 when I bought it new, I have only put about 3K rounds through it. I have lots of other guns and don't shoot it that much. It is a solid performer and enough time went by so I decided not to alter it, and that is why it remains unaltered except for the grips. Some collector in the future will no doubt love it after I have hopefully put a few thousand more rounds through it.

Best list of models is on the Wikipedia page. For year, there is a date code on all Spanish pistols since 1927 Google "Spanish pistol date codes"

You're referring to the smaller model, the M-1911 Concealed Carry? The proportion of the MSH beneath the grip safety appears to be shorter, and it is listed as taking a 6-round magazine compared to an 8-round magazine for the M-1911 Full Size. But the Concealed Carry is not a CCO-size pistol -- that's a Comander slide on an Officers ACP size frame. The Concealed Carry in this ad appears to ...

I carry an original Seattle one daily. Love it. Very well made. I have had two of the Georgia ones and they were pretty equal in quality to the Seattle ones. No MIM parts, nice fit and finish. As good or better than some $1200-$1500 Kimbers, Colts, and Dan Wessons I have seen. As to a fair price, i have seen them as low as $650 and as high as $1300. They are worth every penny of the high end ...

Welcome to the forum, drwalker! You'll find the others here helpful and full of information! Your .45 sounds like mine a few posts up. The only numbers you didn't mention are by the left trigger guard. There are a few proof marks and then you'll see a LETTER*NUMBER (like R*2). That's the date code. Pics are also nice on these forums. Once you find the code you can look it up at this site:...

I would honestly say, save your money. Not many parts will interchange with it. You would be better off waiting and try to find a Rock Island Armory 45. They will range in price from 350 - 550 at some of the gun shows, or just go to the nearest gun store and look and see if they have any. Handgun921
