I agree with Staalker grow stuff used in food, it works for all tiers, or all the ones I needed at release. I recall making a fair sum of cash growing potatoes and making hard tack rations. When I farm I do 5-7 crops at a time,depending on connection speed, usually 6 though. I have my char setup to auto loot all, select the crops using the delete key, harvesting them using the U key, it works quite well.

I was thinking today about opening a vegetable stall somwhere between Hobbiton and Bywater. The problem is there wouldn't be anything on the stalls!

Nice write up. Just to add some information to consider... Inferior Tools: These are good for 40 uses and then they are broken and need to be repaired before being used again. I use them the 40 times and then destroy them, never repair them. Go to the standard NPC sold tool (cost: 2 sp). As you noted, the repair cost is much less. Each use of an Inferior Tool will reduce the durability...

It does not appear to be fixed in Book 7 even though I, and I'm sure many others, reported it via /bug very early after the recipes were released. I will /bug it again. Why it takes over 4 months to fix a simple problem like this is beyond me. In case someone (that cares) at Turbine sees this: Rename Gold-fire Pipe-weed Field Recipe to Cross-breed Gold-fire Pipe-weed Field Recipe....

yes you can make a small profit or break even by vending. usually artisian and up not sure about expert. lvling farming is easy and cheap. but as your a cook also you can make money selling back to the vendor if you make beer. the best is blackberry ale only thing with that is it is time consuming. but you have to grow barly blackberries and hops then brew em up and bam can make gold in...

I think some form of pay for processing would work here. For example, pay a certain amount of silver to process 10 fair/poor crops at a time. As long as the price was reasonable I beleive most could live with this. I'd also like to see pipeweed get some lovin. For starters I wish the description told players the type of smoke it produces. I believe more people would be willing to buy ...

After a certain amount of time, planted fields will disappear. Try making 3-4 at a time and you should have no problem. I've found that if I make more than 4, they will start to disappear before I have a chance to harvest them. So, not a bug, just game design.
