Travel Insurance

Hello I used this company for our holiday to Canada this year, never had to claim so sorry cannot be very helpful on whether they are any good or not, what we did find was that a lot of the big travel insurance companies would not cover us as we were not UK residents. On top of that we had pre existing medical conditions. I had trouble tracking down one that would cover us. http://www.insurefor.com/b2c/index.aspx?agent=464 Good luck in...

Montpellier and road works
Published (2009-11-28 11:00:00)
After wondering if i was going to get stuck in roadworks etc , the trip was a breeze! I went up the A9 as far Sigean and then got on the Autoroute, both were very quiet and I took my usual exit just after the peage; Montpellier was also void of traffic, we arrived at the hospital half an hour early. There were plenty of free spaces in the car park, updated my carte Vitale and went to the clinic. How weired, no queue at the caisse and streight...

Well Mr Writerman, have done as you suggested originally downloaded 2.1.1 which is for Snow Leopard so downscaled to 2.0.5 which suited this Leopard. And yes, the volume needed to be repaired so went on to Repair Permissions. Got several Warnings: SUID file xyz has been modified and will not be repaired. (Thinks to meself: OK, don't!) Then executed the Cleaning service (and yes, it cleaned stuff) and then told me to restart. So...

Change of Internet Provider?

I've got them, and the only problems I've had since I ordered the equipment was because of interference from France Telecom Orange, who are *still* charging me for my land-line -- I must get that sorted out. I don't even use the television stuff, but the long-distance calling has been a godsend. And their tech crew is great.

Hi Magnhild Just back form the Christmas Fayre at Chateau Cassan. Husband got talking to a chap who runs a computer repair firm. Ey oop, lad, there's those of us in England can only dream of fibre-optic connection. I live within the M25 and the fastest speed I have ever recorded on broadband (via my BT line) is 500 kps. I pay for 2 Mg, but my copper wire is inadequate. Eeh, what wouldn't I do for fibre-optic . . . ? B _________________ One day . . . we'll be there www.atthefrenchhouse.com

It might be worth looking at American Express world travel cover.
I used them for a 4 month US trip from Belgium, but then bought the annual cover every year for a number of years. Never had to claim, so can't help with a view on that.

I have to go the CHU La Peyronne friday 27th November. I will be coming from Perpignan via the A9 from and exiting at the tuning after the Tolls. Are there any road works or diversions I should be aware of, so I can leave extra early and avoid getting lost too!

Hello everyone! I posted this question in another forum, but still don't have a response. Maybe someone here can help?
About 2 months ago we finished our renovation/moved into our flat in center of Beziers. As it is a very old building we tried to save/maintain all the old features in the flat, including the original tiles, which we at first thought would be a beautiful addition to our...
