I love this stuff. I dont always do intervals specifically, but I make high intensity cardio a part of my regular workouts. Unfortunately I dont have access to a track at my gym, and even at the fastest setting a treadmill isnt good enough, but you can do this type of stuff with other exercises. The crossfit program that I follow does a workout called "Tabita Something Else", which is basically 20 seconds on followed by 10...

I do something like that but on the stationary bike. I usually set the machine at level 8, then ride at a pace of 75 to 85 rpm. After a 7 minute warm up, I will do a minute of 100 rpm then rest a minute at 75 - 85 rpm. Then after the 20 minute mark I set the machine at level 5 and do 2 minutes at 100 - 110 rpm and back down to 75 - 85 for 2 minutes. I do this until I get to 40 minutes than ...

I've been trying to do a lower body work out twice a week. But it's hard to stick to it because when I do it I end up walking around sore for days. Its a big old helping of negative reinforcement just when I don't need it.

Just finished my initial max test. 22 complete push ups. I am starting the program next Monday officially. I'll post progress here.
