Me too MO. It happens to all of us. Anybody that says it doesnt happen, is down right lying. I put up two rounds in the 90s over the last month. You will get it back.

For some reason I don't see it with golf, but put me in a boat for a couple hours of casting or jigging and my lower back locks up tight as a rock. I have friends who only play every 3 or 4 days because of it. I have degenerative disc desease (old age, lol). Stretching everyday and trying to keep the belly off the top of my belt helps.

I dont think a GPS would make play any faster. Instead of looking around for yardage markets, people would be fumbling around in their pockets for their GPS. I could see a GPS making play faster if it were mounted in the dashboard of a golf cart, because then you could just glance at it and know your yardage. People need to learn how to judge yardage just by looking at their target. I seldom use yardage markers because I know just by looking...

I voted for the 'Soon....' option. I am getting better at extending my season, at either end, but I am not quite in the 'Hopefully....' category yet! My mind has started to wander away from playing, and towards taking some indoor lessons and practice.... I need some serious changes, and they aren't happening fast enough while playing. I am getting puking sick of my unreliable " ...

I agree with your father and brother. If people take a little bit longer to pick a club from the fairway because they now know their yardage, I think it cuts down on the number of times they leave their shot short or hit it too far (because before they may have guessed their distance wrong). But come on, how long does it take to look down at the device and get your yardage? It won't ...

I hit up Guildford Golf course today in Surrey, BC. It was wet and soggy but it wasn't raining. I was pretty happy with the 96 I shot. I wasn't expecting to play there today (just go the range) and wasn't prepared with food. I only ate a bage all day and suffered on the back nine because of it. I had two 8's!!! I had nothing left by that point and only wanted to eat.

You know, it's funny...I've always said that forged clubs are the best and offer the greatest feel; that the biggest reason for distance these days is not the clubs, but rather the ball and that if you like to hit open-faced wedge shots (as do I) that grinding the heel of a wedge will make that easier, which is what I've done for all of my wedges for the last 25 years. I guess ...

If you have to stand on a cart path during a shot you are granted a one club relief from it, no closer to the hole.

I try to be quiet if I think I'm close enough to distract others nearby. I've had people distract me like your talking, in fact we had a group catch up to us on a slow day that had a radio in their cart blasting music. Not Cool! We blasted them, lol.

2 things i focus on; 1. Place the ball a little more back in your stance. 2. Make sure your sternum (breastbone) is slightly ahead. then i play the shot as normal.

I have had a caddy in business outings. You usually walk unless it's a forecaddy. I have no idea what to tip because I am the client so someone else pays. I can tell you that I have had my best rounds when playing with a caddy. Each time - it only took them one hole to figure out what club to hand to me and it's so easy to putt when someone reads the green for me.

As long as it gets pulled before the putted ball hits it, it's all good. Hopefully it's already pulled and you are just holding it in the middle of the cup so you don't try to yank it out if it gets stuck and lifts part of the cup out at the same time. Whenever I am tending the pin, it's already pulled out of the hole at the bottom of the cup.
