Sean if you are directionally challenged off of the tee the
first move to make with the driver is to make it shorter. For most people that I fit the "standard" driver length is too long. If you could get me wrist to floor measurements along with your height I could get you a static suggestion for driver length if you would like.
If you are at the stage of just having to do something to try...

Great question! The idea of the forward press not only delofts the putter and acts as a trigger for some players. This move also gets the ball rolling
end over end much quicker than using the loft of the putter which skids to start then starts rolling end over end. One other thing the press does is it helps you release the toe of the putter going through impact. IF you find that most of your ...

It will make some differance depending on what you are looking for. As a fitter I want to get each individual into the highest lofted driver that they can hit at the proper launch angles.
The loft on a driver makes it easier to hit as well as making it more forgiving. I think going to a 10.5 as long as launch and spin are still good is a great idea.

Is it just a lack of distance or have we lost directional control as well? It is tuff for me to know where to go with this without a little more info. Can you get me an idea of how the shots feel to you now? Most times with better players that start loosing distance is due to
something simple in setup. If that is not the case there is a good chance you have started to (not on purpose) steer ...

GC it is not uncommon to hit the ball well on the range and go to the course and struggle. Most people that I work with swing nice and loose on the range but tense up when it comes to hitting a
fairway. I think for most golfers they put so much pressure on themselves on the course that the added tension makes it very difficult to put a good smooth swing on it out there.
In terms of swing ...

Another great question. To get the arms, hands and club head in the best positions during the takeaway I teach the 1 piece or core takeaway. Meaning I want you taking the club back with the big muscles trying to keep the arms staight
as you move the club back.
The best way that I have to give you that feeling is...Place an impact bag (if you don't have 1 a shoe box with something in it for...
