hell, they dont even have MPs patrolling on the majority of bases across the US..its all DOD contract. But I do believe that NCOs that are competent to carry a side arm should. And when I say "competent" I maen it..There are some soldiers who DO NOT need to carry a firearm period..Even overseas. But I would say that the majority of our combat arms and combat support MOS's would fit the part to be able to be armed on post....
