Replacement YJ Gauges
Published (2009-12-25 21:26:00)
I'm in the process of flat dashing my 91 YJ w/ 4.0. I was wondering if there were any specific gauges that would make a pretty simple install. My main concern is the gas gauge. I heard it only works with 0 to 88 ohm resistance? I would like to find something a little cheaper than autometer (unless someone on here is a dealer and can make me a deal). I will post pics when complete. Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty much a do-it-yourselfer BUT It's allways safer and easier in the long run. Maybe more $$$ but it's done the right way.

id say go SOA, Tony hoyt (bobtail82) can build the S shaped drag link you would need to go the cheap way out, its super strong and very affordable IMO im not going to say its going to be under 650 though, it all depends how you do it, but it can be done very cheap, it just depends how much time you want to put into it

you are gonna get mixed feelings on this one. Some will say to do it right, no way. If it were me I could definetly do it for that price. Some spring perches, new shocks, tabs brake lines, traction bar(homemade), drive shafts(homemade). I think if you can build some of it yourself or modify parts from other vehicles it can be done. If you buy all off-the-shelf parts you are gonna ...
