Everybody's looking good in their frosty weather lids. (Except for Mr. Tutt who is in a blessedly opposite hemisphere but looking good all the same.) Here I am in my second favorite Borsalino - thick felt with a Cav-style edge - and a 40's vintage blended muskrat coat. Sue __________________ Life's too short to live in Dallas!

Also interesting difference that 'LONG OVAL' is embossed under the sweat logo on mine.

Mine isn't a Stetson, it's a Fawcett. Art made my Stratoliner clone for me earlier this month. It is Natural color in light weight felt. It is as close to the perfect hat as I will ever get.
I apologize for the less than spectacular potography and the hideous hat model.

But they never made hats that stingy and tapered until the 60's!
Short too. With a little reshaping that hat could become a pretty standard 60's teardrop.
Also, another similar one on the man in the right background.

I hope it is kosher, since this particular event is really a great chance for Hat Forum members to get together, talk hats late into the night, visit the Winchester Hat Corporation, and participate in all manner of various secret rituals...
Thanks for mentioning it here, IC!
Cheers,

Slugwart, congratulation on your new Fed DL
I've got exactly the same size you have, and the 58 Fed DL they sent me is at least a 59, so yes, akubra fed has a very rough estimate on their sizes...
BTW, welcome to the lounge

So what did you decide? Did you place an order?
Who have you been communicating with - directly with Christy's, or is this HornetHats or some other retailer?
Thanks!
