Hello, My original concept was a psa was about the exposing and enabling of the deaf; so they can learn the value of the natural world and therefore become contributing stewards to all the great and small things. As hard as it is to believe, many of the youngsters and some older people know nothing of these things. For many, much of their lives they have been in isolation....

I really enjoyed my first UWOL entry and would appreciate any feedback. At first I was a bit thrown by the theme, but came up with a plan to head to the Outback. I've been to the Arid Recovery reserve before as my brother and his family live nearby in the mining town of Roxby Downs. I was able to get a couple of days off work and drove 650km from Adelaide to get there! For those who haven't ...

Wilderness Utah encourages and tries to inspire people to get out there and explore on their own. The goal being to instill a love and appreciation of the wilderness here in the state of Utah that is amazingly diverse. Scheduling got tight at the end but I was able to shoot most of this on Saturday the 30th and edit into the night. I wish I'd had more time since my edit isn't quite where ...

This video was SO CLOSE to not happening. When Meryem announced the theme, I knew immediately that I wanted to do a video on Greenwood Wildlife. On Aug 1, I called and left a message for the executive director, but didn't hear back for two weeks. By then, the rest of August was absolutely booked for me. But (oddly, after waiting for two weeks), the executive director was so excited about ...

So, this is it! Film: WWF World Wildlife Fund, Sweden by: Markus Nord The WWF have during the summer run a campaign about stopping the pollution of nutrients to the Baltic Sea. That is the biggest problem right now and the effect of the sea is scary. This PSA is about showing that with effort to stop the pollution the important Bladderwrack will reestablish it self and the ...

The Irish Light Pollution Awareness Campaign is affiliated to the Dark Skies group and is one of many such groups worldwide who are working to reduce the light pollution that affects the quality of the night sky. Rather than the problem that bad lighting causes, for wildlife from broken diurnal cycle to navigation hassles, or for people not getting to see the sky in all its glory, it was that ...

While FreeMe is manned by a small number of qualified, paid staff members doing an amazing job of saving wildlife in crisis, this organization relies heavily on the hard work done by trained volunteers in the routine but essential tasks that are required to keep the centre running on a daily basis. This commercial is intended for use on the FreeMe website: FreeMe: Welcome to the FreeMe...

Binfield Badgers by Rob Evans Feel very lucky about this one. I emailed two groups within hours of the announcement, and one came back to me three days later ( the other has not responded at all, which in a way was actually quite lucky! ) The guy I spoke to was John, of the binfield badger group, and before I knew it, I was sat in a custom built hide, at 11pm on a school night adjusting my...

OK, I will be the first to fill the shark tank full of water. I have not heard from my sponser. I'm a little Peeved about the whole challenge thing. I told myself, if I could not find a sponser for some reason I would still put a short film together anyway. Well, now I don't feel like doing that either. I just read about PETA and how they want to tie that crazy Wacko Canading "cutting a humans ...

The submissions for the actual contest itself are closed. But we are going to keep this round open indefinitely, in perpetuity. In other words, if you came close but didn't finish, you can still upload your entry whenever you finish it. If you feel like your skills develop enough over time to take on this Challenge -- even next year or the year after -- you can upload your entry and ...

OK so you've entered a film competition but you have no camera. You've got a buddy who you team up with sometimes, who has a camera, but he's in the Philippines for two months. You were supposed to go to the Philippines too, but you.... have to save money for your new camera. So you sit, and you read about how everyone else in the contest is doing. All the while you're thinking, "maybe ...
