Hi, I sent my EX1 to Sony's service center in Teaneck a bit more than 3 weeks ago for routine service and do not have a clear idea when I will get my camera back yet. I called a couple of times and it sounds as if they have quite a backlog of EX1 to service. What kind of turnaround have you guys got from the Teaneck service center? Thanks. Thierry.

Hi there, If I go by my lcd, I overexpose... so I'm now always checking my viewfinder. But I shoot handheld mostly, and would prefer to use the lcd... if only I can correct it and then learn to trust it. I know I can go into menu and change the brightness level of my lcd, but is that all I need to do to set the lcd's brightness level? I want to make sure I'm recording the best picture ...

I've been starting to notice noise in the picture, and not gainey noise, it's showing up at 0db. (please don't tell me to shoot at -3db, it limits superwhites to ~90IRE, and obviously drops exposure) The attached picture is straight from an EX1 sitting on my desk, 1080/24p shutter off 0db gain, f/1.9. The picture profile is Bills TC2, detail off, with blacks at -2. Do you see all that noise...

I have had my camera since december and just discovered a problem I have never seen before: Sometimes, quite often, there is a disturbance in the image. Once in a while I get shots, and I don't know how else to describe this, that have what appears to be a rolling shadow(s) in the brighter areas. Shooting 1920x1080-30p @1/60 shutter speed. What I am doing wrong?
