It is Friday and time for another beta release. Version 3.4.3 contains some cools upgrades and fixes, particular for Premiere support, but there are base level codec changes for NEO as well. In Premiere we have renamed all the appropriate filters to it have 32-bit in their name (Prospect HD/4K only.) It's handy to know, but it is also great for selecting filters, just put "32" in the ...

I have a Canon XH-A1 I would like to shoot footage in 24f mode, and use my HV20 as a second cam in PF24 mode. Can the footage be used in the same project on the same timeline? Or what would you suggest to solve this problem? Thank you. Steve

If the the luma level adjust is not done BEFORE Cineforming material, the info in that "above 100 IRE" area is apparently lost? It apparently compresses it beyond any further usefulness. David T. and/or David N., does CF toss out "above 100 IRE" luminance info? Since it does seem to do that in some quick testing we did, is there any way programatically for you to allow users to set those ...

Im editing a big project, I have it divided in diferent computers all using cineform. All the different projects ends in one single array for the final edit. Problem is that no single sequence can be opened. I´ve moved the array to different computers and the projects doesnt open in any of them. When you click the time line an error appears, and premiere closes. If i use the same drive ...

Ran tests at various settings just to verify... But someone correct me if I'm wrong, for optimum image quality: Quality: High or Film Scan Frame Format: Progressive Remove 3-2 Pulldown CHECKED Keep source aspect ratio CHECKED All others: no change There seems to be some debate whether or not Canon HDV 24f is "true" 24p or not. Any thoughts on pulldown removal here? Figure it ...

Vincent left 3 untouched videos from Canon 5D Mark II: The Helicopter Scene, The Kiss and The Sink Wake Up Spash. I converted these files with HDLink using 24p to 23.396 in Prefs and it works but the Sound does not get converted. The files become native to my time line but they have no Audio track. I did not notice that before because the other files did not have audio. David any idea on ...

Hello Abdullah, It should work but doesn't: My quad-core E6600, 4GB of RAM computer is unable to playback YUV 10-bit Cineform AVIs @ 1080P using Vegas 8.0b in realtime, much less able to do so in 32-bit mode or with color-correction filters inline. I can playback lower quality "draft" (half-rez) to get the framerate up, but have been unable to get 1080P to play back at full-res consistently...

Say, there's a shoot with two EX1's. Footage is transcoded into Cineform before editing. Since Cineform (to the best of my knowledge) does not retain original timecode from MP4s, question arises: - What is the best way to synchronize two cameras during the shoot, to avoid post-production headaches? So far I was simply using a clapper, which is also a pain because both cameras need to...

Downloaded the latest update for AspectHD yesterday and unzipped the file. Went to install today and couldn't find it. After momentous amounts (well, a minute or two) of searching I realised that the .exe file within the zip has the wrong filename. The version number part of the filename which should be "5.4.2" is actually written as "5.2.4" in the .exe. Not a real issue but thought I'd ...

Importing MPG - 1 new post
Started 1 week, 3 days ago (2008-09-27 21:08:00)  by Dustin Daniels
When I try to import MPG files into PPro, I get a "Media Pending" message in my program monitor. Also at the bottom left it keeps indexing the clips. It's acting like it's offline. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, -Dustin
