Richard - I took my rear sliding windows apart to replace all the seals, but it was several years ago. The assembly does remove from the truck simply by drilling out the rivets. I believe there were also some rivets that have to be removed to take the frame apart. The window assembly is not difficult to dis-assemble (just keep track of how everything goes together), but I remember fighting ...

Buy new shock towers if rotted at all, buy new retaining rings with 8 new lock nuts no matter what. Wait for these to arrive. Make sure you have a big pipe wrench or big channel locks or best pipe vice grips. Make use you have a 19mm (or is it 17mm) gear wrench. 1. Remove four screws holding little plastic covers on inner fenders. 2. Use 1/2in impact gun on full reverse to ...

Been buying Yakima products for 15+ years now. These are all over ebay and cragslist, so I wouldn't buy them new. They have been making these particular towers for 15yrs plus. You won't be disappointed. Trying another brand you may be disappointed. Thule's are considered nice as well, but I don't think they are of the same quality. Good luck. Ben

I use a little sealant on one side of the gasket so that it will stick in place. Makes the job easier. Don't overtorque the fasteners or it will make you pull the intake manifold to get them back out again. As for draining the coolant, I usually just undo the top hose and then of course some coolant spills out on the valley gasket. If you wanted to be really clean about it you should let ...

I would definitely repack the bearings, but doubtful that they will need replacing unless they or their races look worn. Probably not at 60K miles. You can get a cheap bearing grease packer that looks like two plastic cones with a central shaft and grease nipple on it that will make this much easier. If you do have to replace the bearings, do the races as well. Not a bad time to replace your...
