Not often that I rave about an app but Air Video just took this to a whole new level, £1.70 and a free lightweight client for your PC and you can stream virtually all video formats, I have tried both avi and mkv. I have only tried it by wifi but I am more then happy with that as I can now snuggle up in bed and watch an episode of something without disturbing the wife. Edit just tried it over 3G and works very well and quick, obviously this...

Do not update a jailbroken iPhone to the latest firmware, you will instantly lose 50MB on the root partition. You must backup all your data and then restore to the new firmware (this will erase the contents of the device) at which point you can jailbreak it again, install all your apps and restore all your data

I have a Voda PAYG broadband dongle, which suits me, at £15 which lasts until it runs out, great as I only need it 3 or 4 times a year. However looking at the new tariffs , the £15 runs out after 30 days, does anyone know if Voda will apply this retrospectively? Ie to those of us who have the original dongles?

Nobody should even that amount. I've never paid for an upgrade, or even for
a phone until I got an iPhone. I've had a phone contract for 10 years and
every single phone has always been free, and I've always had a brand new
model.

Personally I find the iPhone a little too big too. Like the size of my Hero. Bigger screens just kill more battery too.

This phone isn't Android its a Windows Mobile phone...and as a result i will steer clear of it based on my previous experiences with windows Mobile...
...Although HTC have done a pretty good job hiding the Windows Mobile bit.
Even so I think an HTC hero would be my preference
