For thursday I would plan on hopping by the afternoon away from MK so you avoid the parade taping crowds (which are released at 2). as mentioned by PP, check out MVMCP if you can.

I go the same week every year. And it has picked up the last two years a bit since the Travel Channel did a show called "Disney on a Dime". The resorts seem to be somewhat full; but I believe it is an indication that people who would normally stay off-site are staying on-site with the 4/3 deal. I myself upgraded from a mod to a deluxe. I think it is going to be a bit busier - MK and DHS will still be busy Sat/Sun, until the...

Tell me About August
Published (2009-11-21 13:07:00)
Most of the summer is pretty crowded simply because that's when the vast majority of people with kids (or teaching jobs) can go easily. I have been to WDW in mid-Aug about 4 times now..usually right around the 13th, for a week or so. Up until this year, the crowds had started to die down...many southern schools have started classes by then. But, they are still there for that first week in August. This year, Disney offered free dining for...

I can't speak for all the dining locations, but the ones we went to -- if the photo was included (so Akershaus) and when we bought the photo (Chef Mickey's) -- you could add those photos to your Photopass CD. I would guess that the other locations are the same, restaurant-wise. As long as you purchase the photo package, you can add the photo to your Photopass account. The number is either ...

We loved the segway tour. The only problem is if you get a 7:30 segway tour you have to get a taxi to EPCOT. But it is really cool to walk into Epcot with no one around. The first 45 minutes is inside with instructions. The rest is outside through the closed World Showcase. It really was a lot of fun

I vote for a PM EMH. With teens and adults, you should be able to go late, late and enjoy more the later it gets. I would also cross off Dumbo, magic carpets, barnstormer, and donald's boat (it's just a boat for little kids to play on that has some water squirting in and around). Ariel's Grotto is a story telling with Ariel. It's not a ride, but more of a character greeting spot. The ...

I'd be willing to bet your friend would catch so much hell that she'll go to the smoking areas anyway, even if they say you can do it. People will start screaming about the cigarette before they look at what it is.

I have pulled my son out 2 times now. But he is in elementary school. Our school has an "educational" trip form that you can fill out. The principal can approve it and then the days he misses are considered "excused". I imagine the older he gets, the harder it will be, but so far we haven't had any problems. He makes up his work from the week when we get back.

I don't wear crocs, but I routinely wear my birckenstocks or my teva mush flip flops. I like my tennis shoes, but there is nothing more comfortable to me than a good pair of sandals. Only you can decide what works for you though. I'm sure you'll get alot of differing opinions. No matter what, Have Fun!
