Point question
Published (2008-11-27 20:58:00)
Points from a cancelled reservation will always be returned to your account. If the reservation was cancelled 31 or more days before the arrival date the points will have no restrictions. If they were from the current Use Year, they may still be banked based on usual banking deadlines. If they were banked points, they will need to be used by the end of the use Year of the cancelled reservation since they cannot be banked again. If they were...

Substituting points at 7 months ?
Published (2008-11-27 19:10:00)
Thanks everyone. I was thinking that availability might not be a problem the first couple of weeks of May. Could I do this instead: Reserve the week as a split stay (x nights at BCV using BCV points at 11 months and x nights at VWL using VWL points at 11 months), then at 7 months try to change from VWL to BCV? If I can do this, would I then need to link the two BCV reservations so I wouldn't have to move? Just when I start to think I...

That's what I was thinking too, but wasn't sure. Somehow, I don't think DH will let me be the sole owner of our DVC

DVC Points Usage Question
Published (2008-11-28 00:02:00)
Thanks, all. I don't think a trip is going to happen before December '09, so I guess I should try to rent the points or I'll lose them. And thanks for the explanation on the UY. I get my 2008 points on Monday, I guess, and I've banked my 2007 points. A little confusing there. Sure would be nice to go in a few months, though.

Point question
Published (2008-11-27 20:45:00)
If I book a trip for 8 nights using points from the current year and then decide to cancel one night (I will know about 6 weeks before the trip) what happens to those points for that one night? Do I get them back? If I do get them back, can I still bank them if it is within my banking time frame or are they now "unbankable"?

In the paperwork for purchasing DVC it mentioned that a 1-time activation code for accessin the DVC Member website was going to be sent in a few days. I am trying to be patient (it's very hard) but it has now been 10 days...Should I have received it by now? How long does it usually take? Am I just being too impatient????

If I make a reservation at BCV for May 2010 (making the ressie in June 2009) using my BCV home resort points, can I, at 7 months, substitute VWL points for part of that reservation? The reason I ask is that it looks like I'm going to have 52 VWL 2008 points (August UY) that I can bank into my 2009 UY. They will have to be used by 7/31/10, and I'd love to be able to save some BCV points for a ...

We financed through disney and just did an add-on. Both contracts are at AKV. We still had all the paperwork to sign as we did with original contract, but as for the credit application we did not have to give them any more info, just had to sign a credit application. We received the standard interest rate on the first contract, but was given the prefered interest rate on the add-on which is ...

I am thinking of possibly adding on to BLT, especially with the Developer Points incentive that came out. Can these Developer Points be used for a cruise?

How long did it take for you to be able to view your developer points on line? I bought 2nd week in October and I called my guide to ask about getting the DPs today. He told me he would e-mail his manager and get back to me soon =/

The AP discount is only via Disney. There is no additional discount on the AP so there's no reason to deal with AAA.

It can get a little complicated depending on the size of the contracts. We have 4 home resorts, because we like them at different times of year and for different types of stays (short or marathon). For us its a way to ensure a stay at several different places with the 11 month window. We do have to keep a eye on what type of room, at which resort and what time of year. Took some time, but is ...
