I had two buyers back out of one contract. I got half of each of their deposits. The first one when fairly quickly, passed ROFR, then the buyer backed out. A few months later, a had a second buyer for the same contract. After ROFR, that buyer also backed out.
I took this contract off the market after that. I made $650 on the two contracts by them backing out. It was a small 50 point ...

I believe it does matter, but we have changed our habits and go to WDW much more often than planned and there wouldn't be a UY that didn't see us vacationing beyond the banking period. My spring break is always in March, so June UY wouldn't work...that's why we picked March UY. Well, when DVC changed banking, that just blew our idea that our December vacation points were "safe," bankable with ...

If you have to finance the purchase, it will take a lot longer for you to " break even". That is the only argument that I've gotten from friends as to why DVC may not be a good deal for everyone. Having said all that, purchasing DVC back in 1995 when my kids were 6yo and 8yo was the best thing that I could have done for my family.

The only way I know to contact DVC via email is on the member site as they will not acknowledge any other emails (they can't confirm it's from you).
However, have tried to clear your cookies, cache and history and then reboot your machine and then try to logon to the member website? Sometimes when you access other Disney websites the system locks you out.
Hope this works for you. If ...

For a small add on, I think that the price is decent and not a bad deal. Getting the 2009 points typically happens if you are in the middle of the UY.
But, I don't think you will see better incentives for 50 points during the webcast.
Typically, the difference has occurred at the 100 point level and up. I am signed up as well but, my plan is to add on only 25 at BLT and they don't ...

It doesn't matter what we say or what you read. You deal is between your Guide and you. The deals change all the time. You might ask your Guide to verify the current pricing but remember that the deals also vary from department to department. Telesales Guides are not able to offer the same incentives as the Preview Center Guides and the DCL Guides.

Those are probably points used by members for exchanges outside of DVC resorts.

If you add on through Disney, you will only be able to get your current UY. You'd have to buy a completely new contract to get a different UY with direct buy in.
But if you purchase a resale, you can purchase any contract you want. But multiple UYs mean multiple times of the year that you have banking deadlines. And you can't combine points from two separate contracts for a single night...

If they are still available you will get them and you will have no problem banking them even though you are past the banking window.
I've added on right before my use year and was able to get the "bonus" points. People do it all the time.

The 1991 pre-opening price was in the $48 range. I paid about $51 per point in May 1992, and there was a slight increase in June or July.
Current "new" sales are over $90 per point, I think. Resales, of course, vary but are in the $65 to $75 point range.
