Hey, I don't dispute that he wasn't trying, I dispute the ferocity of that trying. It seemed half hearted, and that's not taking into account Ray's tactics and fight plan. Ray did what he had to, Duran showed up and seemed uninterested to be honest. It's all in te eyes and the body language

Fun, exciting, quick, brutal fight. I'm going to go with George by KO. Tua, despite his power, chin, and stamina, was no Joe Frazier in any respect (Which he needed to be against Lewis) and I see George being able to nail him solidly. Tua might well bounce George off the canvas once or twice, but I see George as just being mightier, ala the Lyle fight...

Pac's speed and movement and varied attacks will pose some difficult problems early; but me thinks Chavez' tenacity and toughness and ability
to make the squared circle appear like a sumo ring, will simply have Pac eating too many body shots and he will also eat a ot of those hard and sneaky right leads. GreAT fight, but around the mid to late rds, Pac is taken out

GRiffith, Griffith , Griffith. Ten out of ten times, Griffith.
I'm not saying that Leonard wasn't a top welterweight, he's just a tad overrated. The difference between Duran 1 and Duran 2 had much more to do with the difference in Durans preparation then in any adjustment that Leonard made. Every time I hear the story about how Ray fought the wrong fight the first time ...

Re: Iran Barkely vs Mustafa Hamsho
I think so. And Hamsho can absorb those Barkley shots I think so the chances of the devastating Barkley ko type results are minimal. That southpaw style should confuse Iran as well and I'd bet the over/under on cuts on this bout.

Re: Hagler-Robinson
I am a big Hagler fan, but I also appreciate SRR. The best SRR was at 147lbs and below. That SRR was like SRL, Ali, and Hearns combined as one. SRR was a bigger puncher pound for pound compared to SRL and Ali. But at 160, SRR was good but not great. Hagler was stronger and was a harder puncher than LaMotta, Basilo, ...

and not the disinterested one who dropped a decision to Blocker (had Mooch winning by a point btw) goes through Milt the same way he did Breland in their first fight.
The match that has me curious is McCrory Breland.
I THINK McCrory, but could see that going the other way just as easy.
Would expect it to go the route.

Re: Joe Louis vs Lennox Lewis
Brown Bomber by ko inside of 7 rounds. Louis would also destroy both Klit brothers too. If McCall and Rahman could catch Lewis.... than Louis would and finish off like a nice meal.
