Is there a trick to get some discs to play on the computer when they wont play? I'm having a heck of a time trying to play a lot of my movies in my computer

so i open my iTunes and it looks okay, but then i look at it a little closer and i notice that there are these weird blocks in the place of titles of certain sections. And any messages (updates, notifications) are also in this block format. i tried restarting it, but it didn't do anything. any suggestions? oh, and all the "buy now" buttons on the iTunes store are in japanese ...

Well this isn't really a tech problem, but more of a file problem. I just copied a PDF file to my computer and need to edit it. I don't usually copy files to my computer as a PDF until I've completed them in full and proof-checked it first. But I was in a rush yesterday and didn't realize that it was an incomplete file. Now, I need to edit it and am a but brain dead when it comes to PDF files. ...

I've just noticed that evey date on the site has turned into a link to phone the number related to the date. 10-09-2008 becomes 10092008... What's that all about? Some weird glitch?
