Steven King's The Mist: 9/10 Critique: Brilliant! One of the better mysteries of the year! I went into this film expecting something great, and I left feeling more then satisfied. I was very pleased by how this film played out. I did not read the novel and did not know what to expect, so for me it was even more enjoyable then it would be for someone who'd already know what to ...

I like Spike Lee, and after leaving I didn't know what to make of this movie. Overall, I'd say it's an interesting failure. The action sequences are gripping and exciting (he can do action folks), and the 'holy boy' stuff wasn't bothersome at all. It does run on too long and some of it's issues are beaten over your head. It just misses the mark, but still deserves your attention.

I watched this a few weeks back as well and enjoyed it a lot. Probably one of the best woody allen films to emerge in the last 20 years. I'd give it 9/10

Body of Lies Finally an above average political thriller that is effective and surprisingly politically neutral. That's not to say it won't irk those on the far reaches of either aisle in addition to the always irritable Iranian government. But, Body of Lies is a plot driven espionage thriller that demonstrates the basics of what Western intelligence has done right and wrong in the ...

Got a sneak peek last night with my friend who works for AMC. Got to say It is probably the best summer movie so far. And I really really really liked Iron Man, The chemistry between with the characters works really well, but It is not as funny and entertaining as the Last Crusade. If you enjoyed the trilogy then you will like the film but won't love it. The only thing I didn't like ...

just got back from seeing it with my dad and grandpa, and it wasnt all that bad. kinda stretched out towards the end. overall great acting between Ed Harris and Viggo. Renee's part was decent. but i really enjoyed "3:10 To Yuma" more but a great effort by Harris. 8/10

Fernando Meirelles -- who also brought us City of God and The Constant Gardener -- brings us another film to add onto his belt, Blindness . Based on the book of the same name by José Saramago, it tells the story of an outbreak of blindness, that infects anyone who comes into contact. They are stricken blind almost immediately, and it is said they feel no pain -- widespread panic ...

Religulous Running Time 101 min Directed By Larry Charles Written/Star Bill Maher Religulous is a documentary by Bill Maher, who takes a straight forward and sometimes very biased approach to most of the organized religions. I am going to be honest about my beliefs right off the bat (I am not very religous) I consider myself to be a Buddhist/Christian. I say this for the fact ...

OK, so I think it goes without saying that this movie isn't going to win any Oscars or even have a decent plot. The whole point of the movie was to poke fun at Micheal Moore and the liberal part of our society. While the acting was pretty weak, there were enough little subtleties that made it somewhat entertaining. People in the audience in my theater did laugh from time to time, and it ...

I feel badly for Michael Cera. He has prematurely been thrust into the role of this next generation's John Cusack. He's the hip indie guy with the killer sense of music and a fashion style all his own that makes him kind of dreamy to girls, and someone to aspire to be like to young. But there is a certain edge missing, an edge that I feel is missing because we don't really feel as though ...

I've read the book. Based on the trailer alone, they totally changed the tone of it. The tone in the book is much more closer to the Fight Club feel. I'm not saying everyone of his book-movie adaptations should be a Fight Club clone, but it was definitely darker. With that said, I still want to see the movie, might have to wait for DVD though.
