Ever since I can remember. I have basic Comcast and they come around to all of our units asking if we want to sign up or if we already have Comcast, they want to offer deals for upgrading. [Sometimes I sits and thinks...sometimes I just sits...]

Well dummy me. I knew our vent went into the floor and just assumed that it was blowing under the house. I asked hubby about it and he gave me the look. Get the settlement agreement in writing before you pay and don't give them direct access to your bank account. Send a cashier check. If this is a true business account, it shouldn't show on your personal credit.

Bet there's mice type in the HELOC papers that gives them some rights to change the terms. Get out your paperwork and read it. Go down there and TALK TO THEM. Ask them why they're doing this and what happens if you don't agree. You might mention you could just refinance this heloc into a new first mortgage at another bank and they'd earn nothing.
