Well dummy me. I knew our vent went into the floor and just assumed that it was blowing under the house. I asked hubby about it and he gave me the look. You know the look - like, "You don't give me enough credit. I'm not stupid". Ours does vent outside. The vent runs under the house and comes out on the back side of the house. Duh! True, I know people that use their parents handicap van without them in it and then go and use a handicap space. It's pretty common out there.

Get the settlement agreement in writing before you pay and don't give them direct access to your bank account. Send a cashier check. If this is a true business account, it shouldn't show on your personal credit.

Bet there's mice type in the HELOC papers that gives them some rights to change the terms. Get out your paperwork and read it. Go down there and TALK TO THEM. Ask them why they're doing this and what happens if you don't agree. You might mention you could just refinance this heloc into a new first mortgage at another bank and they'd earn nothing.

Doing the math, a $20/mo savings turns into $480 over two years. T-Mobile does have phones for as little as $50 for the "Even More Plus" no-contract plan. (They also have a installment plan to pay for the phones over time) You could net a $280 savings over two years. There is a contract version of the plan, but the base price is $60, making it the same price as...

It's not some sinister plot if that's what you're worried about. We have it in our city for natural gas and electricity. Short-range transmitters installed on the gas and electric meters send the meter reading to the meter reader person's handheld computer. It saves labor because they don't have to leave their truck or car, and improves accuracy because there's ...

This situation is far too complex and important for you to rely on advice from an anonymous message board. Find a lawyer in your home state who can talk with you in person about your situation and advise you of your rights.

AARP has sold seniors out by backing PrezBO's socialized health care garbage after they said they would not. AARP is not your friend and does not deserve your support. If I could fix my dryer vent, I would earn a gold star from my wive. I go on the roof and the vent is pushing out a lot of hot air etc. I snake it and no difference. I think the booster would work better. I may just revent it myself, would I have a problem venting it into the garage? I think there may be some carbon Monoxide in that heat....

If I were to switch from Comcast to dish I would definitely go with Dish Network. Several of the posters here tend to agree that DN provides a better service for reasonable prices. Liberal to GOP fanboys dedication lol

I guess you can look at everything with gloom and doom. I certainly have my moments that I do that too. However, for the most part, I think there is A LOT to be thankful for, and I am going to celebrate every little thing I can!! I see no benefit in whining and complaining. Be proactive in helping where you can, and be thankful for what you have. Remember, the...

Never use Paypal on any transaction you are not willing to write off as a total loss. Paypal is NOT your "pal". Not much you can do with a Paypal debit complaint. Paypal has been paid..and THAT is their only real concern.

Come on now...it's a scam. IF it were legit, would there be a need to advertise it? No. The currency would have already been swept up. I guarantee you that in the world of international politics and business...a rural household in Indiana will NOT be the one to cash in(or wherever you live).

If your paycheck didn't clear when presented for payment, that is a Department of Labor issue. Remember...the average response time to a 911 call is 4 minutes. The response time of a .357 magnum is 1400 feet-per-second.
