Yeah there is one of those around.. . A f650 never been down, never off road, no scratches, ridden only by a grandma to school on Sundays.

Yep, it's jerks like that that make me soooo proud of being male. I've watched that Alaska state trooper show on National Geo channel and the troopers seem to be very considerate and not typical hard headed cops at all. Yet reading this article you could almost tell they wanted to practice some retroactive birth control on these two knuckle heads. This poor kid has almost no chance, and I pray for him. If this kid grows up to be...

Thanks for meeting up today. What magnificent, winter riding weather. I look forward to riding again in the future and exploring more of the North Georgia roads. I just checked SPOT and it seems to have gone back to signaling again.

How are the street manners with such an aggressive rear tire up front? Any issues with cornering grip or a non-linear feel when rolling from the center to outside nobbies?

I'm thankful for the fact that: - even though i was ~6k miles PAST a valve check, all were still within specs! and - i was able to use my left arm* (subsequent to a recent fall that COULD have resulted in a more "consequential injury”) to actually CHECK the valves! (* pictured above!) (i know, not the most original post, but... you asked what i was thankful for!)

them are some mean looking tires on that beast CG 2005. I see you have some kind of padding on what looks like an aftermarket seat. Im thinking about the tt39 kit just for the seat. the stock seat is murder. gmarcotte

I bought an ETX15L sealed battery from Autozone and kissed my instrument cluster woes goodbye. The cluster was replaced once under warranty because dealer thought it was faulty. Turns out bad connections at the battery terminals was enough to cause fluctuations in voltage bad enough to freak out the cluster. The new battery has nice, strong terminals, which means very tight and trouble-free cable...

HOLY F*CK!!! I'm no expert by far, but the close ups of the pieces that came off the forks show some serious pitting. Could that be corrosion, or were the forks completely botched when they were cast (I'm assuming they were cast). It looks like cheap pot metal. WTF??????

i have been having the same problem and my solution, if thats what you want to call it is this. i have been using etymotic ER6i earphones. the trick is to get them in your ear properly and to do that i use some oto-ease, it is a hearing aid lubricant. lube the tips of the ear buds so they go in nice & easy. then gently pull your helmet open and slide it on. you may have to do this a couple of ...

A friend (acquaintance actually) has one. It's a pretty sweet ride. Big issues I have noticed/heard is that it doesn't seem to be as reliable as the F bikes, and needs more frequent regular maintenance as well. IIRC I think you need to do service with valves etc. every 5000km (3000mi) as opposed to 10000km on the F. Course if it's an enduro machine for mainly off-road use, and you're not ...

Sssssshhhhheeeeeaaaaattttt!!!! I won't be there, but I will be pissed about missing the show. But make sure you don't pay for parking, allow yourself an hour to walk through all the bikes that will be there in the parking lot. That's almost worth the price of admission just to see what was rode in. See if BMW of SF has cheap tickets for the show. SP and Yeti won't sleep for three days ...
