It's time for Ramadan again. I'm going to make the same dietary (and other) observations this year as I have in years past. I'll post some starting numbers when I have them (like tomorrow). I'm a day late on the start this year. Today is "ruined" by coffee, lunch, coffee, etc. But tomorrow's a new day.

My mom once told me that she was worried about my soul, cause I hadn't given my heart to Jesus. I told her it was too late, I already gave it go God. How do I live? Most of the time I chop wood and carry water...and try to pay attention.

Dazza has a student doing her thesis on ways of managing the levels of carp in freshwater rivers in Australia. Carp are a huge problem here and are causing a lot of decay to the habitat of some of our native fish. They are also contributing to the silting up of many rivers because they suck the mud from the river banks which causes them to collapse which then obviously makes the river ...

So I heard a little piece on NPR today(?) some kids were at a kids camp for atheism or some such. The reporter asked about how the kids felt about non-existence, since to her an afterlife is a big part of the whole God question being a reassuring notion. The kids she put on tape were freaked out by non-existence. At this point, I am not attached to any beliefs about God one way or the other. ...
