Hi Jack, thanks for your advice. I only lightly modified my type-r with breathing mods as the standard car is quite nice to drive as it is. I don't drive the type-r very hard most of the time but I do like the odd b-roads! I'd say that I'd probaby do the same on the cayman with breathing mods and may be the odd cosmetic mod unless the 2.7 is too underpowered for my liking. A full service on my type-r is about £180-£200 every...

The government have put a freeze on those Road Tax increases. They did that a couple of weeks ago. Disks can be had for around £200 per pair, and pads for £50-60 per set. 20K miles or every 2 years is the service interval. I think it is bloody reasonable myself.

Thinking about it, but will definately be there in some capacity, either working or spectating. Have missed the last couple of years. Plus my other car group are there as well, the SIDC. The prices on stands are excessive, but there appears to be a lot of room for negotiation . They certainly charge enough for a ticket!!

Hi guys, I'm new on here but have been lurking in the background reading up on things around the above. I've got a rough feel for what to expect in terms of cost and ownership of a cayman but would like a bit more info on these before I take the plunge and it would be good to hear from other UK owners. I am currently driving a honda civic type-r, which is quite good but is not refined...

It is a Shame, that when Terry does eventually get back to the UK (OK Wales....) from Bahrain - He will be bringing his GT3 (Turncoat) with him - although it will be left hand drive.......... I am sure he will have fun on the track with it. (If he can keep it on the track!!!!!) However, having had the pleasure of watching him at Brands Hatch this time last year in the 'Red Dragon', I ...

Hi, I have a 2008 (57) base Cayman and I can't find the tyre pressure monitor system on the on board computer. Is is standard on my car or is it an option which I don't have. I didn't buy the car new but can't find how to use it. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks, James

If it is a fault, there would be a fault code displayed. Have you noticed on the RPM guage if there is a lit display that looks like an exclamation mark? We could help you more if any of the above were true...or if you gave any other clues about the situation. You stated it was during idle, so that rules out the beep for the speed limit notifier (which you can set/change on the computer). I ...

Perhaps its just me, but I always feel a bit self conscious pronouncing Porsche correctly, so I just wondered how most of us Brits refer to it.
