Will have to check the books tonight, don't know 1012 off the top of my head. Do you have pictures that you can post? In terms of price, strap is virtually irrelevant - you aren't going to find a watch with an authentic original strap that is almost
70 years old. Just compare modern prices as a guide - a watch with a $20 strap will sell for $50 or so less than a watch with a $100 strap (you'll...

Hmm, maybe. Never seen anything like it, and doesn't look like any 810 that I have ever seen (they are all three register if I remember rightly). Also mentions a
Landeron movement.

They sure
missed the boat on #287. Do you all remember what the last one went for on Ebay?

The 765 goes back to
the Forties and this style of watch with this ref pre-dates the AVI and the Co-Pilot. it seems to designate a pilot watch, perhaps a true "tool" watch in their range. Have a look at this article. http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=112 I have seen several over the years and it was the first Breitling I bought, all the ones I've seen have a similar case to ...

I believe that is the case... unless you can find another donor watch... but then again, that would be very expensive... either way going to
Breitling wouldn't be cheap either... as far as I know, they don't do the service themselves... (I think) they outsource it to someone else who is "authorized" to do it. Someone else has that information. Good luck with the repair and hope you get it back ...

Looks similar to one version of the 2002 Top Time, though the crown should be signed. Hands look correct. It breaks my
golden rule though - never buy without seeing the movement - there could be anything in there!

Put together watch. Should be a Cal 12 with the gilded movement. Notice the date is sideways which is another indicator that the movement came from a 'normal' configuration Cal 12. The Pult cases are commonly found on ebay nos so it's a simple matter to find a donor watch like a Gruen,
Bulova, Kelek, etc, that came with the same basic movement and reengineer it into a different case. They ...

7736 is correct for this version (there were also 7734 powered versions). I'll
defer to Craig on the hand, but to me it looks like a replacement, and the crown should be signed. I'm having a bit of trouble loading it, but don't see any movement photos.
