If you can find a dial I am sure that you can find a
watchmaker who will do the work. The problem is you then can't send the watch to Breitling ever again. They'll just put the original colour dial back and charge you for it because their records will show it as a blue dial watch. I was quoted £280 for a full overhaul by BUK for a
Blackbird, as for a replacement crystal i would have no idea. Why not give them a call, they are really helpful.

EBay is your best bet for an idea in terms of what you're likely to get for it. I just did a search on completed listings and Crosswinds that actually sold recently went for between £1,071 and £1,750. You may get a little more depending on condition and
completeness (i.e. papers etc), but I don't think you'll get more than £2K. (Obviously what you price it at and what you sell it for are two...

You did the correct thing by giving it the initial 40 turn wind but by not wearing it for a week the energy stored in the initial wind was lost. Yes, sometimes you can start an automatic by shaking it a little but that is going to depend on any residual tension remaiing in the
