I am in your blood… Day by day I take each day to the best I can Facing people that I work with even facing the public when I go to the shops paying accounts always wondering how many can see, that I am positive that I carry the scarlet ribbon, on my chest in my blood with my person. Is it so obvious that I am to blind, to notice them stare look at me differently as if I have some board hanging from my neck.... this is the face of many...

Be careful of "friends becoming lovers scenarios" because there is a VERY fine line you must walk - once you cross over to the lover section - you cannot turn back for better or worse. EVERYONE makes mistakes big and little and some much worse then getting HIV. Accept that you are human, you "fucked up" and move on - obsessing about regrets makes you live in the past and makes your present miserable. Post Extras:...

There are a few things that might be going on. 1) Your doctor is incorrect in his assumption of how long you have been infected. People progress at different rates with this disease. Most HIV specialist won't try to speculate how long someone has been infected. Is he a specalist? b) Was this postive test confirmed by a Western Blot? A postive ELISA must be confirmed by a WB. Don't talk to your ex. He is only going to push your...

Sorry to hear about your experience jmiami, completely unacceptable behavior on behalf of your physician. I would file a formal complaint with the practice, group or clinic, most have a grievance policy. Dollars to Doughnuts (no pun intended) he's done this before, and for the record, any more than one additional trainee is too much! You had your provider, NP and 2 interns, thats 2 people too many! He had little time for...

CONGRATULATIONS!!! You've lived 7 more years. Now you just have the rest of your life. Hopefully it will be a long and productive life. I don't know when my "HIV Birthday" is. When I first tested positive WAY back in the mid-80's people had a life expectancy of maybe 3 to 5 years. Noone ever thought to have to remember when one tested positive. I do remember the month - August. I had gone to dinner with a friend....

Lovinglife101, Congratulations on all you have accomplished. Sorry to hear about your dilema. Have you explored Hdap - Hiv drug assistance program? In the state where i live, if you have a job that earns $50,000 or less you can qualify for Hdap. That means they will pay for your private health insurance and medication. In my experiece, they have been very helpful and i have had to ...

I am so sorry for the pain you are feeling. As someone also living with HIV I can relate. What worked for me is facing that, I had a hand in being infected. I should have not used my heart only, in trusting my partner who infected me. I should have stuck to information I had to consistently use protection. He never forced me, but I accepted him without a condom in some occasions. Now I ...

The question is.....are they undercutting Pharma prices? I don't believe in selling medication, but with the cost of HIV meds, well any medication, if someone has extra medication they no longer can use I sure don't see anything wrong with finding a good home for them.
