the way the floors are in these trucks don't leave much room under the seat for a box, you could probably make one to fit under the middle of the seat, but I'm pretty sure the seat would have to be removed to remove the box. I built a small-ish box with a pair of 10''s to fit behind the seat with the seat all the way back. I just used some scrap wood from work... it sounds really good I also bought 6x9 speaker corner...

the center link on these trucks is pretty much a piece of metal with no wearable parts. Unless its damaged in an accident or something there is no need to replace them... y ou may want to try advanced auto parts , or if you want to spend some time playing one against the other strauss and pep boys and one will usually try to beat the other. I buy alot of parts from Napa on rte 34 in Old Bridge ( Bridge Auto Parts) if you go there ask for Jim...

i have a 355 with high compression heads on it and i have an edelbrock 500 on it and its great. i get decent milage and it still takes off when i have my foot in it. your 600 should be fine for what your running. besides probably 80% of people are running over-carbed motors. bigger is not always better. a 750 wouldnt hurt but i thing your 600 is just fine

A little more detail into what your doing may help......
Are you replacing the sending unit and find no provision for the fuel gauge ?
If so, I just ran into the same problem installing a 86 tank in my 97. I bought a 86 sending unit but it wasn't right (not like the old one out of the 86), I found there are a couple different style sending units and couldn't find the ...

Dude if the priceis right pic it up. I had one similar to that on mine and I loved ahving the extra head room while loading/unloading. Having a 8 foot long trunk is awesome. plus with the taller camper I could still have pallets forked into the back.

the front end parts arent that expensive. the same parts were used for almost 20 years. its all really common stuff. if your going to be paying someone to do it. labor shouldnt really be too terribly awful. did he give you a quote on doing the work?

I should also ask this- in terms of Beds, how far into the future does my '78 Longbed (non-stepside) match up with?
For instance, most truck accessory stores won't list anything for a '78 chevy, but if my truck bed is the same as a 1990 chevy long bed, then things change. Is it only good up until 1987?

Yes, they can/will....and it's not a problem. It is usually caused by the gear lube "climbing" the gears in the transfer case.

540 BB in C10?? What sould I do?
Hi guys,
I have a Chevrolet BB 540 standing around in my garage (used to be for my el camino project, but I cancelled that one).
I also have some traction bars and could get a transmission with transbrake.
My 1980 Chevy C10 could really use a new engine, but I'm afraid the 540 could be a ...

I've got a weird problem and this is my first 350, so I' m learning all kinds of new stuff.
1986 K10 Suburban 350 4bbl Quadrajet 700R4 auto
When I first got the truck, it idled really rough when cold, it would die unless you stayed on the gas. Once it warmed up, it wouldn't die but still idled rough. However, at all other RPMs it runs smooth as butter.
My first thought was vacuum leak, ...
