I had one where it would go to high only if you really slammed it hard into position, nothing more than a lever adjustment as it turned out. If not that, then replace the unit on top of the heater box, it's hiding behind/beneath the glove box.

Looks AWESOME! Nice work for sure - it is threads/posts like this that make you want to go directly out the shed/garage/yard and look at what it out there and say - I can really do this stuff if I put my mind to it. Thx for the pix! Keep up the good work and looking forward to future updates...

Here are some pics of the rear tub with the bed liner. I applied the first coat on Friday night with temps around 45º and then a second coat at around 12:00 on Saturday afternoon with 55º temps before the storm rolled in on Sunday and sent lows into the 20s. The coating was dry to the touch by Saturday night and it feels pretty hard now. There is still a considerable odor but the manufacturer advises 7 days for a full cure and I think it...

UPDATE 11/23/09: Septoplasty recovery. I took all of last week off to recover from surgery. By Wednesday, boredom had set in. By Friday, my wife ordered me to the shop to get out of the house...like I was gonna argue. So...I took it fairly easy and painted the block, upgraded my seriously wimpy bumpstops, pulled the old steering column out, and removed the floor shifter. Hey, anything is progress at this point, right? Block all masked...

Not a bad job and probably one of the easiest to replace rust wise on a truck.
Here is an excellent write up on the subject:

They are (and should be) welded in.
Good luck and post some pix if you get it.

Scroll down to the bottom, post number 20. Maybe they'll be of some help. It does bolt up top and bottom and theres a bracket that bolts to the side of the 205 then to the frame.

Sure does look like a long water pump which is junk if coolant is coming out of the "weep hole".
I does look as if the heads are not original and the fan shroud has been trimmed off to get it right with the fan. If there is space between the water pump and the timing chain cover it is probably long and if it is almost touching it it is short. These trucks had a short pump originally.

From there I moved it into my inlaws garage with intentions of working on it. But because of those things in life we sometimes we have to deal with it ended up being in storage there..... When the life things slowed down I moved it over to my cousins garage. It was a great place to work on it but I ended up helping him work on stuff more than being able to work on my blazer. Oh well, I gained ...

As far as my goals for this thing, I plan on taking the resto-mod approach. I want the body to look basically stock as far as trim, bumpers, and a solid color paint scheme (still havent figured out which color that will be), the interior will be stockish with modern updates here and there. Under the hood things such as wiring and plumbing will be cleaned up and improved as needed and the ...

Just checked mine, I do not have that piece at the bottom of my cowl tray you show in the pic. I assume you have A/C, I do not, you didn't say. The only vents I have are inside the cab on the kick panels. Maybe someone with A/C can chime in.
