Sealing polished aluminum wheels
Published (2009-12-22 19:42:00)
I have a Zoops kit in my pile of goodies, but have not yet used it. I still support a good polishing with Mother's Aluminum polish (to remove the large amount of dirt and scratches in the metal), followed by using Mother's Billet polish (to create a mirror finish) and then wipe down with a soft cloth and using a detail spray to remove the residue. I then use the Wizard's Metal treament that keeps the dirt and water from...

I sold the Jethots to someone. The ones I have now from Airborne are not bad at all. This is the best pic I have of mine now.

I was really on the fence about the polished coys because i have read some bad stories about them on here but yours look excellent, like i said i thought they were chrome. I just might have to get me a set of them for my project. What kind of shape were they in when you got them.

i'm sorry i can't too much to the discussion----i do know that oven cleaner works well on stock exhaust manifolds as far as getting rid of the grease. What i mainly wanted was to add another question to the original question: What can we do if grease/oil gets on wires?

i'd first try something mild like"soft scrub bathroom cleaner" the big thing cleaning headers is to get all residue off or else it will burn on when you fire the engine

side68... is this on your '68 or a new vehicle? I haven't found the "right" product for the weave type carpet in the older vehicles, however, if this is for a new vehicle I have used Blue Corral (IIRC) carpet cleaner with great results. It sprays in a foam and includes a brush/applicator, scrub in and either let dry or vacuum up. Works great! It's in a tall blue can w/ applicator brush on ...

That sounds like a pretty good product. Is this the product you were referring to: http://www.bulletpolish.com/ Bullet Polish makes plexi-glass look like glass, makes glass look like crystal, makes crystal look like a diamond. And keeps new looking new. Bullet Polish works on autos, RVs, motorcycles, boats, airplanes, leather, seats, wood, glass, crystal, granite, all non-porous ...
