Curt welcome to the forum. We have at least three Texans who post here. Hunt the
shore lines on lakes and ponds. Marshy land is a good bet also. Check out the
hunting section and look back for the snipe hunts. The archive section is a good place also. WE love to read about all hunting trips and pictures are a bonus.
Your dog may be a big help!

Yes! Finally a snipe falconer on here!
If I ever get into falconry I would pursue snipe. It must be
thrilling! Where I live in the west of Ireland I think it would be ideal ground for catching
snipe.
I had read that a merlingXperegrine cross would probably be the ideal bird, am I correct?
Where I live the wild merlin hunts snipe, and I reckon so do the peregrines. They are an amazing ...
